    I made this mix as a promo for the organiser of 'A Dark Conversation With Nature', a darkpsy-fest taking place in a big forest between antwerp and ghent, belgium... so I tried to demonstrate my skills to the max as wel as my broad taste in psy... in overall I prefer twisted records and suntrip records (the only ones worth buying(double) hehe :lol:) but i also have a crush on very melodic/uplifting/emo trance (protoculture!!!), i also play chill-out music a la interchill, chillcode etc etc, also i get a great deal of music from belgian producers (mostly idm-ish) and have very talented producers amongst my friends.

     

    and i don't seem to recall the third track in the mix, i'm quite sure it's a twisted rec artist in collab with some other(still there's a protoculture feeling in there), but my brain refuses to nail it down so if anyone has a good shot go ahead and shoot! i'm afraid searching my cds and music folders is a lost cause :lol:

    i always play using cds

     

    but i've got friends who play via pc program, and i really don't care, because they master it better than i master my decks, and they've got twice the possibilities+ loops, which are damn handy for mixing songs+effects who beat the effects of pioneer's...and so on and on... pc has better possibilities..

     

    but prerecord NO!

     

    i once prerecorded cause i didn't have any time left and i really felt bad when playing it, felt like a thief, so started spinning 'live' again, which cracked me up :lol:

     

    spinning with vinyl is the only way of 'mastering' the dj-essence, since you're in real contact with the material...

    "Smurfs on Shrooms" is really good, good prod+master

     

    really psychedelic and "mushroomy" feel to it, like old times, love the rather slow bpm.

     

    I listened on simple multimedia speakers and it came through rather nice!

     

    when I check out the other ones I'll be sure to leave a feedback

     

    wow! just listened to all of them and i'm impressed by your skills and melodies, it really kept me going.

     

    in the 2nd track watch out with the guit riff, but that's all I have to say, really motivating psy with emo touch <3

    this could be an instant g.m.s. classic if you carefully add and structurize your riffs and builds.

     

    mastering is equalizing and compressing of all sounds separate and in whole, be sure not to eat out of your sounds' dynamics with compressor and try to limit your master channel so really nothing exceeds your monitor(distortion, gain over, you don't want that :s)

     

    you got the g.m.s. synth going good! :lol: i like it! but it needs more work and layers.

    Won't give any reviews but I think this is quite nice release. Easy listenable and very melodic. Very simple but goes sweetly in the background. :)

    and foreground!

     

    shit this stuff is nice!!! for me, it can never be too sunny or too lucid enough.

    the problem is that it needs to be done with style! like s>range hasn't got a style.

    and the samples used in this album have truly no style also, which is the only let down here and there.

     

    Just drive in the hot evening sun by the beach on the 'In My Dream' track! those samples fuck it up big time though... but i'm totally down with this poppy clubby style to it cuz it's done quite good in this album...definitely a road to take in my producing...

    this is a nice example of how cheesy full-on should not be made!

     

    this is to cheesy, to crappy, to roughly mixed layers.

     

    a dread of an album, i'm very into happy and uplifting stuff but this is like real bunshole crap.

     

    a good proof that there are truly great cheesy full-on albums out there...

     

    ...and not this one at least!

    i kinda like this euphoric trance pop thing. but her voice really fucks it up a lot :D

     

    she'd better shut the hell up, except colors band track. i also like the 'inner soul' track with bizarre contact and ultravoice.

     

    i evolved from a die-hard infected mushroom fan into ... a commercial pop-lover...

     

    and guess what ... i just came to realise ... Infected too :D

     

    im the supervisor was a let down kinda...yea who am i to judge ... they rule!
