1. doing live is sometimes very frustrating and difficult, you have to be experienced, otherwise it's just bad for you and bad for the crowd...

i can tell you some of our experiences and a few hints that usually do good...

1. practice!!!! at home a lot! so you have the things in your fingers. that doesn't mean learn the songs. just practice so when you go to stage it won't sound like you are just figureing out how things work.

2. always double check before you go away from home or studio if you have all the cables etc. with you.

3. always bring everything you need for it yourself. don't rely on the organizer who says everything will be there. some things will be definitely missing. It's the best to have your own mixer, cables, connectors etc... also ALWAYS ask the organizer to bring a big table so you can comfortably put your stuff on it.

4. bring power splitters too (what you plug into the 220 or 110 whatever... Volts, to get many plugs out of one).

wish you good luck!

ohhh great advise from u :) . very useful tips. i should post this on my studio wall to remember it everyday :D

thanks bro

2. first of all, learn to write music and don't be "new at production" before you go performing live.

when you know some stuff it'll be easier to understand what you need for a live performance and how to use it.

anyway, if i were to buy gear for a live i'd get myself this:

a core 2 duo laptop with a small screen (big is heavy and takes a lot of space)

a real mouse to connect to the laptop - i hate those pads lol

ableton live

motu traveller audio i/o

real synth - virus ti/ nl3

soundcraft fx16 mixer

midi controller - either emu or novation - they both rock

good headphones (maybe those shure monitoring headphones)

that's about it i think?

first of all, learn to write music and don't be "new at production" before you go performing live.

4. Its all math to me me. I look at my lead melody, and instantly know what the bass will be. [most of the time anyways]

so u make melody first?. after getting a good melody u start the track?. i make kick n bassline from the bassline i get tha feel of tha track then make the remaining. this is may be dark progressive is coming in my head. may be for melodic psy ur method will be nice i think. right?
5. If this is happening now and you didn't have this problem before, something has changed on your system or your FL settings to cause this. Investigate.

655764

:D

investigated. the problem is with my cpu :( . as Satanic electro said the buffers of the cpu got damaged. this is not proved still. but that is the possibility. cos buffering is done in the processor. underruns happens if the processor cannot handle the process enough. so this is my conclusion. i have to change the cpu :(

thank u every one for trying to help :)

please help me if u think that this problem is something else

6. bounce some channels to audio

655049

dude, the problem wasnt der yesterday night then y its happening today thats my qustion. i tried all the common ways.

i can send channels to wave. it can solve the problem if i send many tracks to wave. but its not a good idea cos i may do changes in d end. i want to solve this problem without killing my track

7. iam having an annoying problem with fl6. i was workin on a song. its almost complete n the cpu useage has reached 75 - 90 when i play the track. but it wasnt clipping so much but only in some places. but now when i opened the project again to work its totally clipping. i kept the buffer length full. but its showing under runs even after keeping it full. n its clipping so much that i cannot work with that project. i tried the same with another project which use cpu lesser than the previous project. still it shows under runs. i reinstalled fl n soundcard drive but no use. i tried it with both ASIO4ALL n with my soundcard drive but........

now what i should do. i have to complete that track urgently. u know cosmicflower wants tracks immedietly. hope u guys can help me. please guide me to solve this problem

8. i want to make a melody like done in dj mary janes KAIRO. but i am not getting that sound out of any synth i tried withn vanguard and z3ta created somthing which is not so close. but i want something really nice like that for my new track. i know ther are people in psy news who hav already made that kinda sounds in their track.cos i have heared it some time.

so plese some one help me by guiding or sending the preset

thank u

9. well z3ta can perform better modulations compared to vanguard...the only drawbacks with z3ta is that it eats a hell lot of cpu, and its bit difficult to programme at first, especially the modulation matrix....but 1ce u understand it, its a killer tool except 4 the cpu problem

yes man. its a bit tough. but its super. thanks for comments :)
