1. The problem with freedom from the flesh name is a medium problem. Try with a more difficult: a track from Dimension 5 is called:

    1/Tribe of the moon

    2/Tribes of the moon

    3/Tribe on the moon

    4/Tribes on the moon

Select the right answer (but no million dollars for this)

I'd hafta go with this one?

  2. da da da!  music to my ears.  i got a bunch of cds in the mail today FINALLY after some known niobi source :):):))) took AGES in delivering them geeze.  Anyways, after leaving him a wall of negative feedback in disappointment, they arrived.  I'm amazed at the unbelievable condition of these CDs for so cheap.  *sticking with the general thread*

I was thinking I should try and listen to Optic Eye?!

hmmm...mine took perhaps 2 weeks to arrive. I think all of them were

in VG+ to mint condition except one which had a noticeable scratch.

edit: I just read your post more carefully...yea he is a bit sketchy but so far

I am happy with his offerings. I think I probably paid about 1/3 of what

    the items were worth.

  3. You need attention, don't you?  You're very cool, and we bow before you and yes, everyone has an ego who has self-esteem.  So go back to your tree-hugging ways and hide away from society and go reflect on the size of your... lil' penis :(

Anyways, all scenes are self-centered.  Thugs hang with thugs, hippies with hippies, psytrancers with well, reindeer usually.  Reindeers shit out mushrooms and psytrancers eat the remnants.

This post was pointless, both your's and mine.

Yea I got a lil' chuckle too :)

  4. The Prophecy is a nice synht. I had one in my studio for a couple of years ago and I've used it in a couple of tracks .. but had to get rid of it due to lack of space for it.

It's a quite heavy, sound-wise, synth and it can make some really nasty and screaming leads if you treat it right.

What's it worth? I wouldn't pay more than 250-300 Euros for a used one, and if there are buttons missing .. 200 Euros perhaps.

    435330

thanks David. I have one with the LFO button missing as well as

the 'wheel 3 hold' button being imbedded slightly, into the machine.

Both 'buttons' I think are still functional though, as you can probe around

'inside' and press the 'real' button.

If anyone is interested in buying it from me send me an offer over 200 euros.

One other thing I should mention is that - and the synth has be like this

since I purchased it - sometimes the strip on the 'log' doesn't behave

perfectly smoothly as well as one of the five programmable knobs. (knob 1

    I think).

The synth has quite a few sophisticated abilities and the trade off was that

it was only a mono synth, so this is the ideal sort of machine for someone

trying to learn how to program ring modulation or whatever...

and ukiro, I didn't know that fact about MFG either! interesting!

  5. Interesting ideas....Would making the CD's more personable help? Something like giving people an option to have them autographed if they want to...or 1 out of 20 CD's sold come with an autograph or something else... any other way to make them more personal?

    435627

Anything that distinguishes it from the masses. It needs to

have some kind of a unique 'tag' or signature of some kind

so that collectors can regard it as real 'property' With the

current situation, an MP3 or .wav isn't truly perceived by a

    consumer as 'property'.

  6. Brilliant - thanks again...  :)

And DAMN that artwork on Sun Strong sure is impressive...  B)

    435213

I am actually taken with the Live CD the most but for different reasons.

The AZTEK CD is the most striking.

The Eigou Kaiki is the cleverest.

The Live CD is the most brilliant.

The Strong Sun Moon CD is perhaps the most creative.

  7. Actually, The Strong Sun Moon already has some quality scans on PsyDB.net - so it would be kinda futile to scan that again... But if the rest are as good as you say, I'd love to see some quality scans of 'em...

    :)

    Also got THIS

which has a remix of Solstice by Hallucinogen which no one

    put in the notes.

I will mail you within 2 days on those Japanese CDs DP.

I need to check with the guy to find out if it is cool - I'm sure

it will be fine. Prices averaged 30$ US but don't quote me SVP.

edit: to which I would add: the Retrodelica CD is one of the best CDs

    I have ever heard.

  8. Did you find an Equinox source somewhere? If so, please share.. ;)

Oh, and you seem to be taken with the artwork - but how's the music? Also, all those CD could use some better scans on Discogs/PsyDB.net... Do you have a scanner?

    /DP

    435197

DP, I am so excited about these ones in particular that yes I will

certainly make some 300kB scans for Discogs. The Strong Sun Moon

release has a poster inside of the gatefold digipak with very interesting

    art as well.

The EQUINOX logo, I don't know if you have seen it, but it is just remarkable

    looking...difficult to describe.

The music I haven't gotten to yet because I have been examining Ubar Tmar's

non-musical content for mathematical patterns. For example:

    Patterns

So I am trying to dissect his stuff bit by bit. ;)

I will contact you about the disks.

  9. sometimes i use "look" when explaining something, i am not a hostile/angry/patronising person. i'm actually a cheery kind of person. always happy :)

    that's all! :)

    435187

    thank you for clarifying :)

  10. Ubar Tmar - Live which is stunning.

The artwork would take me about 30 minutes of typing to explain

    properly but basically:

the sleeve is tiled with a set of Penrose's tiles, but even more striking is the

fact that on the CD itself is another aperiodic tiling onto the

Hyperbolic Plane which is just a really fascinating idea. (to me)

Typically tilings of the Hyperbolic Plane are depicted on a circle

and the artist has used the CD's circular shape to exploit this.

Ubar Tmar - Eigou Kaiki which is stunning.

Again the cover is is tiled with Penrose tiles - this time it is the Darts & Kites.

    THIS which is stunning

The artwork is soooo beautiful. It is all chrome against white with intricate

    'impossible' escheresque figures and such..

    THIS which is stunning.

  11. moni, if you're referring to my post, then I wrote that Colin is 1/3 of OOOD (my bad, it's 1/4), but I guess it's easy to associate only Colin with that group, because he calls himself Colin OOOD and you don't see Steve OOOD or Rama OOOD here or on the other forums...

BTW, does any one feels the same about posts or PMs starting with "look" - I feel it's kind of hostile, angry and patronising way of speaking. although I might be wrong because I'm not a native english speaker (obviously :)) and my perception might be wrong...

    435181

No she was referring to my post.

My understanding was that Colin is basically running the

OOOD ship and has been for awhile.

  12. seems like you guys really don't have bigger problems, do you? ;):D

in my copy of Feeling Weird the voice definitely says "Freedom from the flesh".

    435106

haha! I know what you mean antic, but what I was getting at

was: Are they different track altogether? Looks like the answer

    is no.

  13. Squaremeat - Kaks Kertaa Yks Sählyvuoro (Et Sä Kuitenkaan Tajuu Mix)

= two times one floor hockey (you won´t anyway understand MIX)

in english If some one was Interested

    :D

    435094

very cryptic. sounds like another puzzle. I really hate it

when I see something like that because it means I have to

    do nothing except solve it.

I think I will let this one go though. :)

  14. That, strangely enough, is the English language for you. There are a million different examples.

Just in that sentence, the ou in "enough" and "you" are pronounced differently. And "enough" is strange as it is, since it should be spelled like "enuff". I used to know the reason for the "ough" thing in English, but I don't anymore.

    435052

The canonical example used to describe the illogical pronunciation

    in the English language is:

    GHOTI=FISH

I will leave it to you to work out the details.

English speakers don't spoil it please.

  15. OOOD is releasing an album in few months on Organic Rec. Otherwise, Colin Bennun (1/3 of OOOD if I remember) released an album with Andrew Humphries few months ago as Voice of Cod (the best of 2005 according to me) and is making some music as Unconscious Collective with a group of other people (more ambient / downbeat project).

Colin is a member of this forum too and he's one of the friendliest and knowledgable people I met here or on psy-forum.co.uk :)

    435096

His work under the name Unconscious Collective produced an excellent

    single on Flying Rhino:

Title track is really a stomper
