  1. L'esparanza was released under the name Sven Väth on Eye Q in 93. It also appeared on his album "Accident in Paradise". Both the original version and the "single edit".

Balearic Bill consists of Alex Gold, Johan Gielen, Sven Maes and as far as I know they've only released one track, "Destination Sunshine", in 1999.

Jivamukti is probably confused with the totally different track L'Esperanza by 'Airscape', which is also Johan Gielen + Sven Maes, the same guys from Balearic Bill

this track obviously has nothing to do with the Esperanzas by Sven Väth and Yahel :)

  2. It will be released on may 1st on Talking Elephant, you can order it from amazon here

It seems as if it's going to sound like a mixture of folk rock and ambient.

    Cheers!

A mixture of folk rock and ambient sounds good! Let's hope it will be

  3. does anyone know anything at all about their supposedly upcoming 2CD album "away with the fairies" ?

i only see it lined up for release in some online stores, can't find any info about it

  4. his website still says the 2003 album "interstate highway" has 'just been released'. seems he doesn't update it very often.

i'd love to see a new mwnn album but if it'd be anything like his latest compilation tracks, then i wouldn't bother checking it i'm afraid, pretty generic stuff in my opinion. no offense, 'cause this seems to happen to more legends from the old days

  5. Hello, I just noticed on twohandsdistribution.com that Spiral Trax are back with a new 12" release. I thought I'd mention it, been a while since the last Spiral release.

    Artist: PION

    Label: Spiral Trax

    Catalogue No.: SPIT 037

    Releasedate: March 13th

    Tracks: A. Retrospective

    B. T & S

Spiral Trax has now joined Two Hands Distribution and as the first release

we have chosen Pion, a newcomer from Serbia. You might wonder what a

Serbian producer is doing on Spiral Trax that used to release only

Scandinavian artists. This is because we have decided to close the Spiral

Trax International label. From now and on you will find many talented

producers of all nationalities on Spiral Trax.

DJ Anti discovered Pion while playing at the Planet Bigz club in Belgrade,

where Pion is one of the residents. After listening to the demo back at the

office in Sweden we got blown away by the pure progressive power in his

music. Several tracks were immediately signed for release on Spiral Trax

and ACDC. Judging by the productions we have heard so far, this young

artist has a very bright future in front of him.

DJ Dovla aka Pion has been working as a DJ in the Belgrade scene since 2002

although he has been producing since 2000. He previously has been in a

project called Manifest together with DJ Toca (Alternative Control), but he

is now focusing on his solo project Pion. DJ Dovla mainly plays progressive

trance but you can also recognize strong influences from progressive house

in his sets and productions. At his residency he has been playing alongside

famous artists such as D-Nox, Beckers, Son Kite, Wizzy Noise and many more.

I don't see it announced on Spiral Trax' website but samples are up on http://www.twohandsdistribution.com

I like what I'm hearing so far.. very progressive.
