didn't tim schuldt master the original already??
    has he re tweaked it?

    Yes, you are right.

BUT every album has diffrent mastering versions ;)

Here there are 3, and the 3rd is the one Kris wanted to come out on CD, because it is the best one; the one that this music deserves :)

:excl: The 3rd one we used. The Anjuna version did not have the permission to go out like that...even if the diffrence is "small" for the untrained ear.

Just like Kris, cronomi strives for perfection - and here we are

    awsome!
i have the original anjuna, is this different in any way?
    am assuming just different artwork?
gonna take a punt and buy it because it's absolutley amazing (my first goa purchase of the year i think)
and to support you guys for making this re happen, so others can hear it also, and we can finally put the anjuna crisis to rest
just hoping it makes it to australia

Kris told us it is different, it is thé original intended album; differs in 2 major things :excl:

    1. the art work is 100% original (the Anjuna cover was a rip off of an already existing cover art),

    2. this version has the best mastering, when listened carefully on speakers one hears a significant diffrnce (with the Anjuna version).

 ...and maybe 3rd difference: we have/had Kris' full permission to do this - support the artist

Dear fans, it is with great pleasure we @ cronomi present to you the enhanced edition of Aud‡ssey (Live & Beyond) by UX / Ultimate Xperience!!

:+1: Get it here: Aud‡ssey (Live & Beyond)

Enjoy the music, let us know what you think and keep it psychedelic!

The next text explains why you should get this gem ;)
Written by 'Grodon' (dj Clone - Cronomi - Canada).

Few names in the psychedelic genre remain synonymous with the original purpose of the movement the way that UX has—to continually break new ground and push the boundaries of our perception to experience music in new and fascinating ways. A pioneer of the industrial-influenced psychedelic sound, UX brings to mind powerfully dark and immersive, psyber gothic and mechanical soundscapes which never fail to sanctify and free the temple of the mind.

Cronomi records is honoured with the opportunity to bring you Aud‡ssey (Live & Beyond), UX’s magnum opus—a brilliant selection of 8 storming classics, expertly revisited and performed live as you have never heard them before. The original songs include collaborations between Kris Kylven (Odds, Syb Unity Nettwerk Experience, Element Over Nature, EON Project, Cyberkrist, The Dark Prince), Pete Martin (Slide), and Chris Conklin (Stripper, Lumen).

As the only remaining member of UX, Kris Kylven revisited each song, remixing and updating them with expert precision and cinematic quality. Each powerful piece recorded during performances in Finland, Ukraine, Greece, Slovenia, and Israel has also been mastered with startling clarity and depth by none other than Tim Schuldt. For this release it is only fitting that it be accompanied by stunningly executed graphics and imagery from those live performances—a perfect piece of goa trance history (or future?) for any collector! Play it loud, move your feet and lose yourself in the Ultimate Xperience.

Are You trying to say, that there will be more Portamento's music? Don't even dare to tease like that, if it's not the truth!

I haven't found anything similar to the vibe of 'Portal'.

Haha! Not teasing you :) Not at all... being very serious on this one... Updates as soon as we can ;)

Yea it's a killa track, have purchased already, Jagoa is a baller and Shidartha is the real deal too. Really good track, I hope they fill their catalog up with more releases soon, promising beginning

    And that's an understatement ;)

It is the level of neo goatrance we aim for @ Cronomi too - too bad this guy started his own label - haha!

Many artists and labels can learn from this smooth action - #inspiration :+1:

[...] So with his second album for the Cronomi label he embarked on a very ambitious project, giving us a behind the scene look how he creates his music in the studio.  So he created his tracks, practiced and rehearsed shooting for a recording in one take.  Do you realize how difficult and extraordinary that is?

Easy?  Sure, maybe for an octopus.  But to control an entire track and play it flawlessly in one take?  And each track had a different hardware setup? [...]

    Haha! No we don't!!! :D

^_^ Thanks for the splendid review; happy to read you appreciated our out of the box move on this one  - but than again, that's the m-run & cronomi trade mark: doing the non obvious, keeps us suprised and our minds'n ears fresh and open :excl:

Very nice review, got me more curious about this album for sure. The album artwork is lovely, it's very original. And hits home with any coffee and synthesizer/drum machine aficionado. As those go so very well in hand. :) It's refreshing seeing more mundane sources of inspiration on album artworks. I like the vortex in the coffee cup, must be some stellar coffee hehe.

Yeah, some disliked the art work, BUT didn't read the whole story behind it  BUT than again, @ cronomi we try to mantain the suprises in the music & in the album covers #original :P

I really like the album. It's new goa, but indeed very different from what we know now as new school goa.
It's almost techy goa. Not all tracks have the same quality. That's true.
But I can really dive into this sound and let go.

:excl: That is exactly the point of the album - héhé! :) Glad you liked this one...

I love this album! Very refreshing with a modern take on goa thats not full on melodic madness, but indeed as others before me mentioned: carefully engineered psychedelia with high attention to detail. Big ups

You said it, "carefully engineerd" :excl: Happy to hear many people still fall for that approach...and that's the cronomi brand :P...and will stay like that.
We still choose and keep on choosing for the non-obvious artists that stand out in originality, even if it takes some people years to grasp the album - we have time

but this ufomatka album is really warm and easy to digest as a soundtrack to my life. there is nothing abrasive about it, it makes an effort to be distinctive without being turgid. is music best enjoyed by carefully dissecting each part or are we meant to just feel the vibes? ufomatka has created an album full of good vibes, no thinking needed, just let it ride out. it maintains the goa sensibilities with a refined, less is more approach.

I think this summerises exactly how I felt when I heard his music the first time  Spot on imo :+1:

Finally had the chance to listen.

That's excellent if you ask me. The triplets, cheesy indian singing samples, minimal psy-tech beats, oriental melodies - this all perfectly works together and creates a very captivating atmosphere.  Maybe not exactly what goa purists would expect from a goa album but very good in itself.

If I had to criticize something it would be the production - some of the tracks sound somehow blurred and subdued, the sound lacks energy and impact.

You have fully understood the point of the album.

:excl: Artha combines non evident sounds and scales - even so that some even (still) don't understand him - even if he is a genious making goatrance since the mid '90s. And yes, we have especially chosen also some tracks that are a bit more "minimal", but nevertheless as psychedelic as can be - psychedelic music is in the mix, the mind set and the atmoshere, not in the quantity of used layers :+1:

I can not wait for round 2.

Funk. Nasty, groovy, space-funk. Cosmic musicball dance party with melodic hors d'oeuvres and little hi-hat dental floss thingies to clean out your teeth in between bites. No, wait, make that mental floss. Go in hungry for musical caviar and come back sated.

Seriously, these melodies are some earworms. Like others said, these are not your below-average, wandering, listless melodies, but actual melodic statements with intention and purpose. This is fun music. It has its corollaries to Space-era S>Range in the space-funk, Alien Protein-era Etnica in the theme-building, Dragon Tales-era Koxbox in the cosmic joker cameo, and more Koxbox in the melodic matrix everything unfolds within. The latter may be the best comparison I can come up with -- just updated. Not better, because that's really hard to do, but just with a chrome finish where Dragon Tales had 80s-era solid stainless construction.

I'm not a party-goer, since I live in small-town America, but I can only imagine this BIG sick sound could only result in orgiastic, twirling, pulsating dancefloors. On headphones, it's got my neck bobbing up and down like a chicken at feeding time. Or a cheerleader after the big game. Buy it. You WILL need at least five hands to count the number of full listens you get out of it.

We'll forward that compliment to the artist.:+1:

:excl: Did you check his 2nd album than? Check it @ M-RUN - Live session album

Ow, yes, plz write a review :D ^_^

Very welcome; and when even more patient, the future @ cronomi hold a nice suprise (working on it) :excl:
On a note: I read many music collectors understand very well what cronomi is all about: making few releaes, slow in pace, BUT always sounding unique and quality wise outstanding - thanks for your support

Thanks, it makes us and the artist happy that even after so many years it is still standing: means a lot (quality wise)....and that is what we still keep aiming for @ cronomi :excl:: albums that can last the time!

Any chance to see a live set from Artha released as a live album? I'm thinking in particular about his livetset at Aquatica. Which is very memorable. With some proper mastering that could really be something special, a really powerful acidic journey.

Good question, because indeed, the live sets are epic!!! :+1:B)

On a further note: UK & Portugal are now opened - expect your packagaes soon :excl:

Interesting and much welcomed concept in pretty much stale Goa trance scene. Mario is known as someone who gives a lot of attention to all tiny details, especially in his live output. It's interesting to see his live jams being available in this format for sure. It's also a fitting release to Cronomi style and vibe, even tho many folks expected the full lenght album instead of improvisation records, so it would be great to see more defined and nonconfusing marketing approach in the future guys. Music is detailed, innovative, different and it deserves it.

Best of luck to all involved, I will get the CD when this shitty Corona situation ends.

P.S. - (P)Sara is rocking with the graphics, girl got the style ;)

Mario worked on this concept for many years. You can see that on the back cover where every track has - besides its key and bpm - the year of production. So you can indeed notice this concept and its details are VERY well considered and polished over the course of a long time.

The point is as a listener to give it the same time to hear and appreciate everything inside of it - yes, indeed, this is NOT AN EASY RELEASE ;)

NoteYou are right, but this is the first release we went from a one man, to a two man operation and had finally the chance to make a better promotion campaign. So we had a promotion planned schedule, BUT corona made stuff not easy to promote it properly: we had an "appointment" with 'Murphy's law (haha!) -_-

-Sara (our designer) was stuck in Panama

-I was ill for 2,5 weeks

-I'm a teacher, and schools were closed here, so I had other things to manage (no offence btw).

-Due to closing borders we had to find a solution to make the release digital (and that was a first time for us, so Wim needed some time to figure it out).
Conclusion: our focus went a bit from promoting to managing the changes

I understand the concept, I like the art, I just don't really know if I like it musically that much. Right off the bat Technosonic and Oxigenated Seal are nice tracks somewhat akin to Technossomy but the rest flail around and can get cheesy. I don't know. Needs time.

You said it: NEEDS TIME :+1:

Note: took me 3 years to grasp 'KoxBox- Dragon Tales' - hahaha!
