  1. Keep us posted, please  :(

BTW, will it be available on Psyshop or Beatspace? I'll most likely buy it over at Cronomi's Bandcamp like usual, but it's strange your more recent CDs aren't distributed there?

Not wierd ;)  We just want to be 100% independent and have full control over our income and outcome :)

Not selling CDs for (in our opinion) too low price at distributors.

But every label does at it sutes best for them.

We tearn break-even at every release (or better), so it works for us.

    Just like Sanaton Rec. does.

Keep you posted as soon as we receive a mail back from pressing plant. :) For sure.

I'm actually as inpatient as you guys.

  2. Let me put something straight. We are talking about Limited Editions aimed to end up at the hands of collectors.

That means Full retail quality Glass mastered CDs, up to full colour print on disc (Litho/screen print), packed into full colour 8 panel digipack (gloss finish as standard) (as the plant put it)  :)

I already have checked promo digipacks from a number of plants and made my final decision (and received the quote).

Unfortunately for that you should expect a somewhat higher price than usuall, but I think you will find it in the end more than fair :)

If aiming for collectors don't fear the higher price :)

    They'll buy it...

Indeed, wondering what projects you'll target first :)

  3. Just testing, for some reason I am unable to post in the labels announcement forum?

"There appears to be an error with the database.

THX for pointing this out :)

I had the same with the party announcements...still not working :(

  4. Yay!

Little hint here: make a playlist on SoundCloud that contains those tracks. That way they are shareable in one batch. :)

I was thinking the same, but still we opted to share all tracks separate, so it is very clear which track is which. :)

@ thanosp81: been doing that too for the last 3 years :P

We are happy we can finally share it with you (and be sure, we have made some concrete future plans with Artha and ... to do something very special - more about that next year).

  5. Wow, that's a very swift and honest and nice written review mate!!!

:) THX for your honest words mate!!! Even tough I don't agree on all of them ;) + :P
BUT I appreciate this very much! This is really a showmanship of true (goa)friendship.
Why I do I stress out this so much? Cause I feel there is to little of this honesty in the new goa scene of today that makes much 'goa' sound all a like. Too much fear of giving feedback cause so much is taken so easily so personnel, while feedback is just feedback cause we want the best to happen for the scene.

On what I don't agree? Not much ;)
    1) 'the albums seems like it has been rushed out': well the full story took us 2 to 3 years to finish everything (music, production, track selection, art work, mastering,...) :)
    2) Due to different mastering Artha's music shows more all the details it really contains. The 1st album was mastered loud(er) and that why it sounds less details (I hope to release a remaster of the 1st album when we have the financial power to do it).
Why? Cause this CD contains a mix of Artha's '90s and newer work.

THX again, and "Goa lives"

PS On the promotional thing: we are aware of that. We lack a promo-machinery.

But some years ago we wrote our labels philosophy on the website, stating we prefer that good music promotes itself as much as possible.

But don't worry: it'll be spread enough. I play regurally in Israel, and I always have Artha CDs short, cause they sell like sweet candy :D

  6. Some of the compilations I really like:

    -Various - Goa Head 4

→ Why? It is pure madness; like walking into a disturbed and psychedelic circus show.

    -Various ‎– Goa-Head Volume 8

→ This compilation is a perfect mix of classical goa trance sounds and the more (older) psy trance sound.

-Various ‎– Distance To Goa 4

→ Why? This is pure funky and deep goa trance with swirling drive!

-Various ‎– Distance To Goa 7

→ Why? Most complete psytrance compilation ever made!!! I wish I can make one of the same level (would be a dream come true). Production and mastereing on the CD is fucking amazing and beyond everything else.

  7. [...]

VA - Erta Alé! Yeah I said it! No comps? Well it's not a comp to me! MUAHAHAHAH

    [...]

    But you can't ignore it.

You just got a digital kiss from me :P

    My top 10:

    -X-Dream ‎– Trip To Trancesylvania

Why? It is mellow, deep, trancy and dreamy with a full story and bouncy techno beat; like it should be.

    -Chi-a.d. ‎– Virtual Spirit

Why? Most complete goa album ever made...this album listens like how a fairy tale reads.

    -Koxbox ‎– Forever After

Why? It is the most funky and SF-Goa ever made. Warm, deep and so complex.

-M-Run ‎– Some Run Just For Fun

Why? This is the revival and more radical form of ‘Color Box’ and it stands out of all the newer Goa trance of its quality and especially very unique sound and drive.

    -California Sunshine ‎– Wonderland

Why? One of the first goa Cds I ever bought: it made me smile and smile. It is intense and the definition of real melodic goa trance (new skoolers – listen and learn).

-Green House Effect ‎– Global Warming

Why? This is funky, like it is disco goa trance. Melancholic, deep and warm and especially the production is ridicilously good!

    -Ololiuqui ‎– Dito

Why? In my opinion the most complete progressive album ever made. No cliché sounds but unique and utter best production.

    -Xenomorph ‎– Cassandra's Nightmare

Why? It is the perfect nightmare!!!

    -MFG ‎– The Message

Why? Just because it is (in my opinion) the only complete psy trance album where also the Matrix samples are perfectly fit for the music (or is it the other way around?).

Last but not least...the new ARTHA album media October 2016 ("Fuck you dolphins", it's too good not to mention :P )

New goa can be as good as the old :)

Why all these CDs? I think they have something in common not all albums and artists could (and still can not) provide us:

    a ) good mixing,

b ) the right sound for the right melody,

c ) real melodies (which became even more rare in the period we are now - even if assumed most new goa is melodic),

d ) a good deep base and kick (straight imported from techno, house,...)

and especially: being very very original!!! Like an artist really should be.

    PRODUCTION & ORIGINALITY COUNTS! :)

  8. Yes good advice, Goa-Head until volume 7 I would say (they are on Youtube I think).

I started my initiation with Distance to Goa, volumes 1-5 you have great sound with lots of variety.

Earlier Tantrance (until volume 7) and the Pulse series 1-6 https://www.discogs.com/label/202783-Pulse-2

I guess Destination Goa as well even though I never listened to them.

Hmm, I would rather take the Trance Mix series (from 1993 onwards), cause the series "Goa Head" starts in only 1996, a year where Goa trance was at least 4 years running...

    ...and also :D

...and this one for the real bouncy goa kick in the music (new skoolers listen and learn) :P
