Actually I wouldn't call their style full-on... it ranges from psy with industrial influences (kinda like Battle of the future Buddhas) to more techtrancy tunes (like The Delta) and we even have one tracks that's pure oldschool! SMI²LE
-
of the list I've listened to Acid Mutants comp and the Four Carry Nuts Album... Acid Mutants didn't really stand out of the crowd it was just your usual psy, however Four Carry Nuts mmmmm... now there's an experience. I'd definatley go for Four Carry Nuts if i were you!! SMI²LE

"some of the samples are ignorent (IMHO)." LOL! because a sample like "LET'S ALL TAKE SOME MESCALIIIIINE!" has a more deeper meaning? SMI²LE
-
yep I agree... very few track by track reviews make sense if you haven't actually listened to the track before... but if you have then you wouldn't bother reading the review in the first place! SMI²LE

"But unfortunately for you, I think Koyote Records went bankrupt" Actually it HASN'T!!! everybody thought Koyote Records were dead for good but they just released a new comp this year!! It's called "Random" SMI²LE

ah Prana RULED back in the days... however now I find that they're sound is a little dated (well duh, the original Scarab was made in 1992 for example...). Or is it just because I've listened to their stuff sooo many times that I became bored of their style? That said, about a year ago I've listened to Taiyo (one of their classics) mixed into a full-on set and it still worked extremely well on the dancefloor!! But if you'd buy an album I'd definatley recomend Cyclone over Geomantik SMI²LE
-
all I see is a forum... SMI²LE
-
Jon dude... look at the original Geomantik release in the review section of this site... it already contained mixes off the Cyclone album (especially Scarab)!! SMI²LE

Psygone still makes psy??? hey, nice to hear that SMI²LE

"Maybe they're taking their time and ensuring a quality product...lack of that nowadays in the scene..." yeah that's what I thought as well... however all the "comebacks" I've listened to have sucked bigtime so i don't think that "quality" is their main concern... "It got nothing to do with lazyness." yeah OK, "lazy" is a strong word... they're probably occupied doing something else... still, when you read in 2001 that a Transwave IV album will come "shortly" and it's 2004 and still no sign of a new album in site it's a bit dissapointing don't you think? SMI²LE
-
I knew there were PLANS to make a new album, I didn't know they already made it. As a comparison it has been YEARS since I've heard that there are "plans" to make a new Hallucinogen album, a new Transwave album, a new Pleiadians album,.... seems that psy artists are a bit lazy... SMI²LE

"Why don't you just go to a strip club..." cause they don't play psy in strip clubs SMI²LE
-
I don't understand why the hell would it be delayed? I mean, all the footage is aready there... all they have to do is edit it, copy it and sell it... surely it takes less than a year to do that... SMI²LE
-
yes but is it better than 02? cause the 02 one kinda sucked... SMI²LE
-
well why not type the samples you have in Google search to see in which albums/ compilations they are and then try the whole albums/ compilations? SMI²LE
-
ALL the tracks are the same: very fast beat with wierd sounds thrown in your face. The tracks rarely change, there's no climax just the same constant beats and sounds... needless to say it gets boring really really fast. IMO it's like an underground version of the "usual" full-on. Good for parties though SMI²LE

with this occasion, I'd also like to invite you all to a big psy gathering in Belgium in 2025!!! Main acts will be: Hallucinogen: he will finally be releasing his 3rd album by then Astral Projection which will be playing 101 remixes of Let There Be Light by various Israeli top acts X-dream featuring Kraftwerk and of course the never-missable GMS who will still be making the exact same music they're doing right now + more to be confirmed!!! So come one come all!!! I'll even pay for the tickets!! See you there!! SMI²LE

21 july 2005??? that's in more than a year!!! SMI²LE

So what very very old CDs have you heard that are psytrance? (not necessarily psytrance cause back then it was all trance...) Here's my list: Dance 2 Trance - Moon Spirits (1992) BTW don't be put off by the commercial succes Power of American Natives, apart from that track they made some very good and underground stuff!! Aquila - Aqua Divae (1994) So, anyone knows of more such stuff? SMI²LE
-
I think that's yet another one of Ishkur's invented genres... like "buttrock goa". You can search the whole web, you'll NEVER find an artist/ compil that specifically says it's "buttrock goa"... your best pick is to try psy and "normal" trance releases and see which ones fit the genre... SMI²LE
-
well yeah, kinda experimental breaks with dark atmospheres... I call wierd experimental stuff like that ambient SMI²LE
-
Whatever happened to Chi-A.D's - EARTH CROSSING???
Lemmiwinks replied to a topic in General Psytrance
I thought it was released in 02... SMI²LE -
I have listened to some Techno Animal... it's very dark ambient, however I didn't quite like it... good to get some chills down your spine while on acid though SMI²LE
-
amen to that SMI²LE

Usually Anoebis would be asking this question but since he's not much around these days... can anyone recommend me some GOOD new morning tracks, the kind that brings a huge smile to your face? (and no GMS clones please...) In the last year I've listened to 3 i REALLY liked: Human Blue - Demon Dance (KILLER!!! my new no. 1!!!) TIP - Stimuli (Hallucinogen Remix) Jupiter 8000 - Bit Fire so any more out there? SMI²LE
