  1. Don't worry about the sampler. The stuff you have is more than enough to dive into. Also most modern daws have a sampler onboard. and that is all you need.

I would still recommend to get some good monitors. You don't have to produce with alot of volume. Actually producing with low volume is better.

Just try a few daws and see which one makes most sense to you.

    good luck!

  2. Hi all,

Ektoplazm.com has a new great psychedelic techno release :P

    Posted Image

    01 Merlin’s Beard (130 BPM)

    02 The Chase (130 BPM)

03 White Noise In C Major [feat. Fogg] (130 BPM)

    04 Uh Oh (128 BPM)

Drumlore presents White Noise In C Major, the first release from Nozem (Raoul Koning AKA Supergroover), a progressive psytrance and techno producer from the Netherlands. Since his studio is located near the Vondelpark, a former meeting place of the 1960s counterculture in the centre of Amsterdam, Raoul decided to name this project “Nozem”, which is a Dutch word for someone who doesn’t adjust to the rules of society. True to form, this boundary-breaking release features pumping techno rhythms and a sound palette heavily influenced by psychedelic trance, a powerful fusion that will rock dance floors around the world.

Written and produced by Raoul Koning.

Mastered by Miroslav Bako @ Rocktifex Studio, Serbia.

    Artwork by Alexander Synaptic.

    Released by Drumlore [DRMF06].

  4. Check the isratrance forum. There is lots of tips and tricks on making music. Then just try try try try and try... It takes a lot of time and dedication to make good music. Also on youtube and many other website there is good tutorials on how to make music and design sounds.

Imitating can teach you alot. If you are good enough to copy it you can start to innovate..

  5. That's just nonsense. There is everything between 128 and 140. I even found some progressive at 144 the other day..

And loads of good releases too imho.

    daydin- sync yourself

    va- beach atmosphere

va- fashion (lousy name but some good stuff on here)

    va- full swing

    solano- activation

    But mostly online releases

    Good new producers:

    e-clip!

    egorythmia

  6. The bassline sounds a little offbeat. but it also makes it sound quite interesting and different. Is that the sound or the delay or what? It doesnt roll perfectly with the kick yet. Also the percussion needs to roll with the kick/ bass.

Maybe make the reverb on the clap/ snare a little easier. It is quite big now and drowns.

Don't work too long on one track in the beginning. You could lose yourself in detail. STart a new one and try to make it better than the previous one.

    Good luck!
