Sadly, yes it's true. They have collapsed.

Yean, that's the problem with pop up killers and spam email filters; you lose some of the good with the bad. That's why I won't install either on my computer.

His later albums have a few good tracks on each but not as solidly good as the first two. I would say Synergy is the best of all. All have cool artwork though!

Taken from the pop up window that shows when this site is loaded: "Hello GoaFreaks ! As you have probably seen, this site's speed has decreased to an unbearable extent : The servers at free.fr hosting the site were more than saturated, so on august 27th night, we moved the site in the same place as the forums, in my personnal server on my tiny ADSL line...it should be faster. ...but there is worse : You probably also noticed the site is no longer updated correctly. Children's personnal life, as well as mine have changed a lot since the summer 2002, for several reasons. It both diverted us from our keyboards. Insejn was a precious help with his EPs updates, but we never managed to offer him the real opportunity to make regular updates, and the site looks more like Psypast than Psynews Actually we knew this home-made site was no longer shaped for its size and requirements... Since july, my work has let me more time, which enabled me to silently resume the developement of the new version of the site. Children I saw tonight will also hopefully work on it. (Yes, we know it's been 2 years we tell you this story). We confirmed each-other our involvement into Psynews and our determination to lead this project to its end. However, due to our personnal lifes and works, we cannot set any timeline. At the moment these lines are written, some important parts are finished, some are being debugged, some are being rewritten, a new layout is ready, and all existing infos need to be migrated. We do wish it was faster, please be patient. Meanwhile, the Psynews site you are visiting will not be updated, some outdated parts won't be accessible anymore, and the mainpage will lead you directly to our lovely forum about the contest(s): Due to some mixup with our so-called partner label, and with the current psytrance economic situation, we have little hope to release the second contest cd. About the third one, with all the disk-space / bandwidth / label / time / etc issues we faced, we could not reasonably start the listening sessions and votes, we could not even tell if it would end up in something. Why not, one day...Anyway, thanks very much to all the competitors...sorry too. Thanks, bom, and plur !. Mars & Children, august 27th 2003

Yes, I have had both the early release and a later release. The early one was digipack, and the later one was in a rather budget jewel case. However, the inside of the booklet in the jewel case still has all that writing about the tracks!
-
That's a good attitude. Good luck to you.

Based on the samples, the new EU doesn't sound as consistently good as Unify was/is. Mind you, Unify was one of his two best albums in my opinion.
-
I think a lot of their compilations are mixed... so I avoid them.

My rate of buying in the short term is down cause I have no job. Over the long-term, my rate of buying per month is fairly constant which is to say I buy quite a lot. However, the number of releases has exploded. Sorry to say, I'm not going to start buying more just to support every me too label and artist out there.
-
Almost $40 Canadian dollars after tax. Ridiculous. I only buy from online shops. Get a credit card it's easy.
-
It's not every dam new release. Just a lot of them.
-
I think so many artists visit and post on Isratrance that people feel bad giving a harsh but honest review. As a result, the reviews there are mostly meaningless which is a shame because we don't have the review section on this site any more. As for Prometheus, I listened to the samples and I agree. It didn't sound all that special so I just never got it. Like most Twisted releases it's hyped beyond belief.
-
I like the samples. Not really pure psy I don't think. But it sounds real good none the less. Will get it some time soon...

It was from Alien Project, but Astrix helped write 4 of the songs.
-
It's popular to hate Astrix just like it is popular to bash Astral Projection. Anyway, healium, as long as your post is sincere (which I will assume it is), you must like Astrix. You are not alone. Astrix's first album "Eye to Eye" and most of the songs he does on compilations are new style full on trance. Most of his songs use the typical full on baseline, however, he does it better than most. Some reccomendations: Astrix complied the compilation: "Nu-clear Visions of Israel." (part 1) You might want to check that out. He also had a hand in many of the tracks on Alien Project's first album called "Midnight Sun." You might also want to check out Alien Project's other album called "Aztechno Dream." Don't waste your time with his latest called "Don't Worry, Be Groovy" or something like that. Another album that has a similar energy as Astrix's work is Silicon Sound - Pure Analog. Also anything by Atomic Pulse sounds very similar but a bit heavier and darker. There is just a few of many possible suggestions.

The third topic is where the new album of new material is mentioned. Who knows how reliable that info is though.

Check the following three topics: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/.../29084/forum/41 http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/.../17646/forum/41 http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/.../32345/forum/41

Also, to answer Seraph's question, I saw somewhere on Isratrance that soon Astral will release an album of remixes (other newer artists remixing their old tracks). Then some time after that, they will release an album of all new stuff. I don't remember the details though.
-
Amen has its moments, but it just doesn't measure up to their old stuff which is too bad. It seems that every musical group must peek and eventually decline. Still, in this day and age where people cry out for the oldschool sound, imagine if that album was released by some new unknown band, people might be very complementary. On the whole, Amen does have it's moments. I like to listen to it from time to time. It's easy home listening trance.

I also buy from Saikosounds and I use Ebay too.

I think the samples sound good and I'll probably get it. Check the following thread for a review of it: http://www.onewayltd.com/psyforums/read.ph...i=91542&t=91542
