?wtf are you talking about?u want me to tell the truth?ok this site sucks!and because im Greek i didnt tell it.so now you got the idea
2. Hey Seraph ill start crying about Lifeforms. Its not just the best album from Future Sound of London,i believe its the best ambient/chill album ever made. This is a present from God.Its a journey created in a way of perfection.Everything is created exactly the way its should be to sound perfect. And maybe FSOL didnt want to compare themselves with Gods so they put this annoying sound in the intro of "Among Myselves" hehe. And while listening to this masterpiece and travelling yourself in beatiful landscapes and colorful dreams,Vertical Pig arrives. When you listen to the intro for the first time you think that you know what to expect. But no.This is pure hell.Pure nightmare. What a creation.Absolute darkness.Because there is no light if there is no darkness.Thats why Vertical Pig lands perfectly in your ears. And then they just pull the plug of this nightmare and the intro guitar on "Cerebral" sounds so sweet and peaceful. What a trip....PERFECT

3. Maybe dream theater could could write out everything before hand, i honestly cant think of any other rock band that WOULDNT make a song by just improvising until something solid formed.

Hey thats exactly what i wanted to say. Some rocks bands are trying and trying and trying to have something nice for their final sound and Dream Theater suddently release an album and its a fuckin bomb.So it really counts that they "could write out everything before hand".And i know these guys,i've been listening to Dream Theater some years ago and they really can do this.
4. Who said anyone doesnt know jack shit? I dont think you even read my post before you posted your reply...

205346

i dont even think that you understood my post before replying.i did not say that you should have an image of the song in your brain,i said you need to have an image of the melodies you want to create and the song's spine.Anyway i really wanted to reply to that rock band matter

I know SHIT about the gear that I own

HaHa.We are talking about music not gear.If you think that gear is music then.....

Do you make music?!

I think you dont need to make music to know about music but anyway yes i used to make music with my ex-roomate.Of course it was extremely amateur and just for fun but,i used to work with Fruity Loops for 4 years and now im working with Orion and Cubase. But i never had the time and money to buy gear so im not the music expert (who is? ;) )
5. OK OK.

Making rock music is the same with making electronic music and there is no such thing as great music.

Imagine there are people who think that there is such a thing as The Great Music

ok classical music was not THE great music.

If you think all rock bands pre compose everything in their head your insane

yeah im insane and you are absolutely crazy.try to remember that you said

about rock bands that come up with a killer song

ok if there is a rock band that comes up with a killer song and do NOT know shit about it before starting, tell who they are.

People who think that Skazi is great are just as right as someone who thinks he's shit.

Do you REALLY believe that?!Cause i'd say that people who think that skazi is great dont even know what kind of music he performs.
6. Thats absurd, what about rock bands that come up with a killer song after 2 weeks of "jamming" ?

To me, screwing around with the computer without a defined idea of what your looking for is no different than someone jamming on a guitar, bass and drums.

205312

What are you trying to say?playing the quitar and coming up with a "killer song" requires knowledge of music structure. And since rock music isnt that rich in sounds, yes they DO know how that killer song should sound before they start making it.They just have to find the right melodies and yes they already know how that melody should sound. Its just quitar, bass and drums.Everything is limited.

In electronic music you can have 300 different kicks,200 basses and 3000 sounds.

And you have to combine all this so that everything sounds as one.Anyway thats all just theory, imagine there are people that listen to skazi and they think they are listening to great music.

7. It should be music technology vs human creativity not creating music vs fiddling around.

but I think that a classical musical composer has a pretty good idea of how his work should sound before he hears a single note being played

Yeah but creating someone on PC automatically means listening to what you make and have the change to experiment.Classical musical composer is writing notes on paper. But i think you need to have huge knowledge of music architecture to think about something f.e. a melody or just a sound and then create it just the way you thought about it.And yeah i think thats the MAIN problem of psychtrance nowdays, that people downloaded Reason or FL studio and bought some cheap gear and started to experiment with twisted noises.Just listen to some Hallucinogen or Logic Bomb tracks. The difference is chaotic, those guys knew exactly what they did.

Anyway im not a music expert so i think i said enough...

8. Hey lets just talk about psychedelic goa love ;)

If there is a style or a sound or a feeling im a fan of it,i'd say the X-Dream sound. And that includes also COP sound. They were the first that sounded so DEEP in my brain. You know this heavy backround psychedelia that can make you stop dancing and start dreaming...and their basslines were always different and...well...better than anything else.Radio and Urban Alien sounds, hit me very hard...

9. mmm.....thats a tricky question,so my answer will be xtremely minimal.

i always loved that deep, sweet sound that could travel you non-stop.California Sunshine for example.tracks like Forest(!),Secrects Behind The Universe and Utopia(!) from his last album.Or that track from Chi AD,The Flame of Eternal Life(what a trip). But my favorites are Hallucinogen and X-dream.And you cant really decribe them as a specific style right?

10. Its over. The people have gone to the next party because the old sound had been played to much, and now 90's "psy"trance (goa whateva) thesedays sounds much more to me  like one of the "Hard Trance" presets on one of my modern synths.

205001

its not the sound its the feeling.

if you cant understand this,im sorry about you.

11. After listening to Hallucinogen-Lone Deranger for about...100 times i finally understood the story.in my way of course.but when i first listened to it i really couldnt say anything...i wont stop listening to this album.maybe ill discover more.its so deep and i love it.And a few days ago i listened to Modulation track from Pleiadians on shrooms.and i was really crazy.i thought i never gave the attention needed.and imo thats how it works.Attention please to these deep masterpieces.

12. having a shisha in front of you and watching the smoke rise to the ceiling in the candlelight, watching it creating whirls and making turns and inhaling the fumes

204658

wow thats a great decription my friend,i smoke nargile(or shisha ;) ) very often and i am always stuck with this movement of the smoke. But i never thought of the music backround...anyway i would recommend Future Sound of London - Lifeforms CD B) (i have never heard this Eat Static track so i just recommend something i'd like to listen while tripping with the smoke).
