D.Diggler - EM.Pulse > http://www.discogs.com/DDiggler-EMPulse/release/793856
Boris Brejcha > Specifically the "lost memory" EP... matter of fact, if you I think you can beatport that track only... might right up your alley...
edit:
on second thought, trying to read what you are asking for and what everyone else replied (including me) is like playing the telephone...
I don't think anyone understood, or you didn't explain very well ...

Aes Dana - Season 5
Boards of Canada - Geodaddi (i think that's more than fair play for this category)
Hol Bauman - Human
Miles Tilman - 3D Concepts Part II
Elemental Journey Vol2
Our Sleepless Forest - Debut
that's a partial list...

I'm going to assume you haven't yet heard Infinessence from Interchill?
Get your hands on it and pay careful attention to "Bhakti", i'm not really into the ethnobeat, and quasi-hindu-psychelic influences... at all... but i love this track.
It's nearly fuckin perfection, anything after Matt is more than welcome to try and experiment... he already proved himself with that track in my book =)

Word, send Psytones a copy, he'll write a review with pictures and stuff... very unbiased, off course

I haven't gotten the opportunity to move my feet to and listen to it on a big-ass system, yet. Its good and all, but kind of bores me, guess it's saved by some smooth changes here and there. I'm not a huge fan or knower of the Minimal Techno stuff being played around in every Club and home of friends, but I've heard this many times before, so the album isn't revolutionary or groundbreaking or anything at all. Just a nice piece of Minimal Techno music coming from IzrAel's club scene with a touch added by Shahar. I was lucky enough to hear the bonus tracks on the compact stick once (i got the cd), and if my memory is correct, those tracks on the CP sounded more interesting to me than the actual Zero Sum release.
:smoke:
eh? i'm not really an authority on what's good minimal and I don't get news of what's being played every other weekend in the top five cities or the world, but compared to most of what I hear every now and again, I thought it was okay, maybe not great you are right. It had a couple of good tracks which really did it for me, but that was about it, I suppose. I'm not really measuring anything groundbreaking or revolutionary in the album, otherwise I would have just used to words instead of "great".
So, not really being ironic nor sarcastic (this time, ha!)...
anyway, proceed with the thread,
-
In June 2007, no, in 2006
I only got one release of theirs and it's the new Indepth album - the first album since their doors closed in Sweden. no. .
zero sum? what a great album, huh?... this really nice camouflaged minimal/electro, but with balls for a change... something i can actually dance coming from a psy background, whereas 90% of what is played in the club these days is just simply not fast/hard enough to earn a few dance moves, this totally does...

I've been watching this documentary for a couple of days now (in segments): http://www.amazon.com/Kraftwerk-Electronic...d/dp/B001BTOE0Q
very recommended, even if you are not a big of kraftwerk, it is a very detailed account of how the electronic scene got started in germany.
in watching that, I couldn't help but think the same thing that is being asked in this thread, and where are we going really with this?
and how... most of the people seem content doing what everyone else is doing, but slightly different; instead of doing what nobody else is doing but slightly similar.
slight difference, not a bitchy complaint by any means, just an observation.

meh just watched Blueberry and was a bit dissapointed... you people made it sound like the movie was entirely about ayahuasca experiences when in fact it was just a b-series cowboy movie with 2 ayahuasca scenes. Granted, the scenes were breathtaking but the movie as a whole kindof sucked IMO...
I think that pretty much sums up my experiences on that movie. They could have made a couple of psy trance vid's with that and forget about the horrible sub plot trying to tie them together...
One thing I couldn't wrap my head around... how come if it's ayahuasca, this is meant to happen in the heartland of north america?
was that whole culture present in north america too?
I've always heard you have to travel south to the jungle for that...

I'll go for DOOF
secret option c...
damnit, this why I never do good in multiple choice.

Slinky Wizard
Slick Witch (which even today sounds futuristic), Sacred Fist, Funkus Munkus, so on and so forth, I'm not really that big a fan of the old days as a lot of people here, but the things i've heard here and there are all top notch. Especially big on Gus Till (unless you talk Zen Lemonade, which is not really my citrus, but that's another story).

Check out Solyaris, I think you'r gonna like it
I saw that a couple of times... both of them fell asleep for a little, it was 2pm in the afternoon...
it's not boring but it has slow moments... masterpiece nevertheless.

Here's my addition to the pot:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0976060/ > Tokyo
Three short films by Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Joon-ho Bong. I found the last one to be most intriguing and well directed to my taste. Either way, there's really interesting proposals there and a lot eye candy for film buffs... psychedelic like kafka psycedelic, if that makes sense.

I really need to avoid threads like these, all i do is read them for days and convince myself I need another pair of headphones, when I really don't
BTW 800 $ is just way too much for the ATH-AD2000 (amazon prices)
to make this post useful, if i were you, i'd probably jump on the DT880 myself.

ohh... ok... Well it is showing in selected theaters world wide, with translation included... check your local independent cinema
-
oh, you mean download.. hmm. no clue sorry...
-
aparently it's impossible to find in english and since I don't speak german...
hope someone will translate it one day
There's this new technology out, I think it's called subtitles. Incredibly useful...
As for the movie, I saw it very recently, and liked it a lot.
I'd heard of the soundtrack a while back and was nothing new, but it is great.
definitely recommended.

I've had a very strong aversion for F. Scott Fitzgerald ever since I was tantalized with discussing The Great Gatsby in never-ending English lessons. So this film is a nischt-nischt for me.
Funny how a few of those books manage to actually get liked by students, while the rest gets nothing but hatred. I did not graduate hating Fitzgerald,
I think it was more a mixture of slight boredom and admiration.
I haven't read the book, but I thought the idea was pretty novel. As for the actual flick, well it keeps my lady appeased and you have to compromise every now and again.
Was it not for her, I wouldn't have watched it, but once it was rolling it had it's moments... I don't think it was that bad.
-
But Judgement Day is my favorite one, though.
Right there with ya!
I don't recall a single movie of my childhood rocking as hard as that one... it was a complete and uninterrupted two-hour "wow" fest....
but... I was... 9 or 10 years old so...
-
I haven't seen it, but reading through reviews in rotten tomatoes last night I ran into this blurb and couldn't help but chuckle:
Bale is a leader of the resistance fighters, who are mostly resistant to ugliness, facial blemishes, a few extra pounds, roomy flight suits, and old age.
-
It's very smooth, mellow and almost an "easy-listening" album in terms of darkpsy genre.
Sarcasm runs deep within you my padawan...

I think they're way too busy being successful with minilogue to worry about son kite.
They are consistently releasing new music for minilogue, so I don't know if that's a good sign for the SK side of things
We'll see...

Rennie Fester - Devil's water...
Can't get that haunting voice of out my head

I honestly think psykovsky reached that point you mentioned a while ago with Deja Vu project or on his own...was "Only Love (We will take)" ever meant to be an 18 min dancing saga ? North or South? I can't help but stand there when i listen to them, and half the times I enjoy them more if i'm laying down.
The reason i'm being so harsh, is because he has done great things, but in my opinion this is not one of them. If people found it good then maybe i'm missing something, and i'm probably just getting lazy to go scavenge it. I like it when skill slaps in the face and I don't have to dig deep.

you folks aware of the term: method to the madness?
I think that's the perfect descriptor for really great pshhheeekedelic music.
You ned the madness, you need the extra-sensorial overdose, yes by all means... but you (well, I actually) need some method; a guiding light... something to make sense of the mess to pull it all together. Do you folks see a clear (or slightly blurry) method to this madness? It's been a while since I heard this for the last time, but last time I checked it was missing for me. Maybe I need to look a bit deeper next time, maybe not.
