  1. We performed live few times in Germany and Brazil @ the year before the album came out.. After that we had this only gig NY 2006 in Swiss. That is the stupid truth.. And it is all about the fact that most promoters will not risk their venue by paying BLT live the same money they can pay a star full on DJ. Unfortunately since we were doing something that involved real live element it added a lot of expenses to any production that had wished to bring us. But that offtopic - altho it comes together well with what Kristian said about organizers that prefer the safe side and to book once more those overbooked DJs that will play all those tunes again and again.
  2. Altho I had some funky history with Kristian in the past I can really feel for what he is saying. 2 years and a bit ago I have released the last BLT album with the drummer Danni Makov. This CD got great reviews all over and almost no negative ones.. We toured Israel like no live act before us ( definitely not in the price range that includes 2 ppl with a full drum setup / special stage and lighting for the drummer sometimes etc.. ) Funnily enough, we got 1 !!! gig outside of Israel AFTER the release of that album, and that was half a year ago ( means 1.5 years after the album was released ) in switzerland, and still with relatively "old" music for the trance scene we rocked the house. Why I tell u that? Because of the simple reason that artists sit at home and work. They work hard and it demands a lot of guts and a lot of personal sacrifice to do this. Especially for those that put their heart and passion into it, and do something with a meaning. Since the CD industry is non existant @ the moment, gigs is the place to show your art and make some money - I do belive that those that music making is their life are intitled to call music their job ( as long as they really doing it all the time ) So, to finish my BLT part of story, really good music, and surely one of the BEST live shows u gonna get in our trance scene, went down to drain just because the scene was stingy enough and close minded enough about music that doesnt sound EXACTLY like other zillion of tracks. And YO - the live ROCKS u should have seen some of those parties we played. Nowadays I must say I am much more satisfied and perform much more abroad. I must say as well that I make style that is much more to my liking but also I am not booking my shit on my own - this is MESSAGE TO KRISTIAN.. I learned I need someone to deal the money thing for me, as I cannot sell myself properly. Anyway, as I know music is your way of life, as it is mine too... You will make electronic music and not in a long time u will be back with nu tunes. My 15 paisa
  3. Hey guys and gals, Actually I do agree that the Fish track is very clubby and basically that is the general idea behind this project... But at least in my way of looking @ things, the thing that makes this compilation special, is that altho it is pretty slow and laid back, it is psychedelic ( with exception of two last tracks.. ) which makes it different to most of the releases that come out with the same speed and feel that tend to be more electro / house influenced stuff.. Thank you for responses and hope everyone will find some things to like in this compilation!!
  4. I dont think it will be released since it is really too old by now, about 2 years old actually.. about getting it I guess u can ask Phony Orphants - they are the owners of the track after all ( or u may start a petition to them to release it inspite of its age... )
  5. This album, is a kick ass stuff at least for me. Altho I know for fact that ppl that spent time in the house/electro scene wont find it that fresh ( my drummer wasnt as impressed as I was ) - for those that are psy prog trance fans it is a real candy. It has damn special sound, first when I heard this CD I asked myself - where is the bass? hehe then I played it on a big system and found it. Really innovative mix, big sounds and excellent progression throughout the tracks. The only drawback I might have is that its a little agressive for home listening due to this sound. Its the best proggy release for me up till now this year together with the Antix album, but those 2 are really hard to compare since they are totally different genres of music I guess for totally different purposes. And yeah BLT remix for Wonderground will stay in the drawer, but since it is UNR. KILLAAAAARGH also after 2 years I can play it hehe..
  6. To get back to the subject of the original post I think it is a very interesting topic ( including the E.P bashing Alek bashing back session ) The thing is that it's very important to see the whole picture here and try and understand it - the world has changed a lot last 10 years... The technology allows artist much easier usage of high quality sample banks, and if lets say 15 years ago elecronic studio technitian would work hours on his ASR10 sampler to make a loop out of a voice and fit it to tempo etc., today it is matter of few seconds of work. As everything in life it has positive sides and negative ones. The positive sides is that the sound production has a lot of quality today and that there is much more music produced since sample based music is much easier to make. The negative side ofcourse involves the ART - less ART indeed and the general quality of music not as artistic and intricate as it was 10 - 15 years ago. On the other hand and in close relationship to the topic - man check out the blues, rock etc.. In blues for last half a century same riffs been played and same lyrics been said - what matters basically is how u say it. If by the way u express yourself u can reach to the soul of your listener. If u go back to our sample based reality, I find it very close to 2 different guitarists making an attempt on same guitar solo and ofcourse making it in a different way since they are different... Thus 2 different trance bands interpret the same sample in a different way with a totally different arrangement my couple of paisa
  7. @ Jon I usually dont tend to participate in topics concerning my music, but heh dude I really think u go a bit over the edge here... Remixes are indeed done as interpretation to other artist creation. This is not done to make hall of fame to someone, but to create alternative to a well known song but do it in some other way. I personally think that this collection of remixes, could be much more interesting. I think that they should have given much more PROGRESSIVE artists to remix their stuff and see what comes out from it. Still it is not a pile of crap as it may seem from what u say, and there are few good remixes there that deserve a good word. But back to topic, if I was u I would try to open up a bit - Mahadeva belongs to 1994, we are in 2005 - many things changed since. I danced like crazy to Mahadeva in 2004 but onfortunately ( that is how world goes round these days ) it doesnt meet the need of the dancefloor and sound production of today. My two shekels
  8. Yo man u might need them later, dont cutoff so fast, u just don't know what might suddenly happen Excellent album btw - good music is timeless
  9. It's an old track made by Omi ( today 40% ) and Skazi, I can't remember it's name now but that is the sample there. It's quite progressively built actually and yeah it has shredding hi hats all over
