  1. yeah cyan is greek[in fact cyan are 2, but the reality is that only one writes the tracks, the other one just listens :D ], he had released a lot of good tracks, but i listen to them now, and they sound cheezy :).

However, DARMA are worth listening to, especially their l8st[2+ years ago] work: Trance Wars 3 ... you can get it from www.discobole.gr , although discobole are thieves [18 euros for albums that were released 2-3 years ago :) ]

so, alternative solution : PM me :)

  2. well, they certainly didnt live up to my expectations. I only like Horus The Chorus , and Frog Machine. I really HATE Cities of the future... especially that "run run run in the cities of the future" vocals... it's just so "whack"...

Also i liked some other tracks, e.g. Meduzz, but only in a few points of the track... some tracks start with a very nice psy style , infected-like style, and then they end up cheese ... psypop... :(

Infected Mushroom obviously changed their style radically ... why? appeal to another audience maybe? they knew that their album would sell anywayz, no matter what is was, just because of their name and their previous work...

  3. Not if you want to be legal.

At least not if you run it from europe or the states.

If you have the server in russia maybe it's a different issue though.

oh, i see your point then... you want it legal, you gotta pay :P

I don't think it would be a different issue no matter where the server was...

  4. sure it's legal...but you have to pay a fee for it.

In sweden about $150 per month for up to 500 simultaineous listeners.

Not necessarily. You could have your own server [if you have a relatively fast broadband connection] that would stream your playlist to each listener....

  5. d/loading it atm... will come back with some feedback.

I'd recommend you to stop using Fruity Loops that much... It doesn't give you a lot of freedom... The best would be a combination of Propellerhead's Reason and Cubase..[main creation in Reason, and then the mastering/final "lifting" in cubase]

EDIT#: nice track m8... maybe it lacks a bit depth... That's why i suggest that you try learning Reason and cubase or logic so that you can better manipulate your sounds... You got skillz, this track proves it... so develop these skills..

  6. We used to have lotsa "nitzonot" artists here in Greece[we called it "uplifting" here in greece], most of them were crap and cheesy as hell, writing tracks with "Madtracker". However, there were some artists that sorta deviated from nitzonot/cheesy/saw-like style , such as "DARMA".

  7. well usually I have found that there is about a 2 - 3 year delay between when an artist presents new stuff in a set and the release of a new album. So according to my calculations, the new MFG album will come around 2006 - 2007 :)

probably. however, i had sent Guy an email [about 3months ago] and he replied me telling me that their new album would be released in a few months..

It would be no surprise if "few months" become "few years", however I am sure all this delay will be for the best :)

  8. I didn't really like "Combustion" and "Sun Spot" . Their more recent album "Light in the dark" was much better for me..

Generally, i don't fancy guitars in psy.. Sounds kinda "Cheesy" to me.

btw "Combustion" and "Sun Spot" were too dark and tiring for my ears :D

  9. I had read that ,after some years outside the scene, they are going to release a new goa trance album... I had also heard that they had played some live material in Belgium..

Any1 that knows more info on their upcoming project?

All their albums rule, especially "The Prophecy" and "Project Genesis".

  10. 01. The 1st 5.59

    02. We Interface 5.09

    03. Super Intelligence 5.25

    04. Try To Save Your Song 6.09

    05. Ultratube 6.18

    06. Quantumlab 7.50

    07. Virus 5.44

    08. Distresser 4.39

    09. Slim Drum 5.35

    10. X-Ray Eyes 5.23

    11. The 1st Fluke RMX 7.06

In general: A "dark" album, as expected by X-Dream.. The mastering is very good and the sound kinda "futuristic", relative to the theme of the album. All the samples talk about technology and life in the future, e.g "Neurotechnology", "DNA-Mapping, Cloning The Human", "we are the first of cyber-evolution, we are the first to program your future".

01.The 1st: An intro mainly talking about technology etc...Will get you into the mood...

02.We Inteface My favourite track.. The "blip blip" sound is very familiar to most of us that were on a dial-up :).

03.Super-Intelligence : Static track, few changes , some of you might find it monotonous.. You'll probably like it if you like dark style with almost no melodies..

    04. Try To Save Your Song: Track with a happier theme/melody.. The "happier" track of the album..

05.Ultratube : Similar style to track 3, but i like it more.. Nice drums..

06.Quantumlab: Female Vocals are back :)

07.Virus : Also one of the best tracks in this album , IMO. Again, it follows the usual "dark" recipe.

08.Distresser: The darker and more "static" track of the album, along with "Slim Drum".. Starts with the beat fading in..

09.Slim Drum: Follows the style of "Distresser"

10.X-Ray Eyes: "X-ray eyes" vocal... more like an electro/techno/techy trance mix...

    11.The 1st fluke RMX:RMX of "The 1st"...

Personally, i've listened to this album lotsa times, it grew on me a little over time, but now it has just become an album that i will listen to 2-3 tracks of it once in a week or something..

General Rating : 7/10 Although kinda hard to rate it... i was between 6/10 and 7/10...
