    What feelings with psytrance?

    There are many tracks, whose name just encourages your mind in thinking about related stuff...

     

    Also an example : Goahead - Freebeach (Anjuna mix), makes me think about dark surroundings, beaches, night, ocean, sinister shores, with high cliffs, from now on different experiences can mix and lead me to thinking of (medieval/antique) quests, strange creatures... This track reminds me as well of things like the ones depicted here, the track and the artwork "the Swamp" go perfect together. It is marvellous...

    I'll always hold a candle for Astral Projection as they were one of the main groups to introduce me to psy trance during the mid 90's. I think their first 3 albums are excellent and their fourth album, Another World, had a few good tracks too.

     

    Admittedly, since the turn of the millenium I haven't liked a single thing they've released but they'll always have a place in my heart. Many of their melodies are forever seared in to my mind.

    And to the topic : it is easy - Astral Projection are the all-time favorite of mine, and I consider MFG - Proccess Irreversible (Passenger remix) the best (goa) tune ever.

    Yea man i understood it all.. I also speak ENGRISH ahha! Thanks! By mix i mean the levels of the sounds/effects/stuff.. =) I made the whole tune. =) thanks for the kind words. It is indeed dark minimal.

    I`m not so competent about levels/stuff.. but when you have made it yourself : very good. I listen to it every day :) But is it only "dark minimal" ?

    Firstly, it is a mix between what and what ? And have you only mixed it ?

     

    I like the development, that beginns at 01:05, around 02:30 also great atmosphere, then at the end nice again, getting a way more dynamic .. Altogether I really like it, as it lets the mind represent a picture relating to the music, the riff flowing after the first minute reminds of some darkish surroundings .. my language is a bit poor :) I think it`s perfect, if we judge it in this aspect, that I`m talking about - having a psychedelic effect .. an essential issue for the genre... As for the mixing, I like the motives that are combined...

     

    p.s Hope you understand my spagetthi thoughts....

    I would like to get some feedback on this track I made :)

    It's a short one, little over 4 minuted. Wanted to make it longer but something fucket up my saved files so I had to finish it early. Still turned out good imo :P

    It`s nice, it reminds of Jazz Jackrabits soundtracks.. B) Maybe is a bit light .. yet interesting :) I like it more in the first and middle part ;)

    Only the mahadeva remix is great, the other tracks are aweful and not suitable for listen. this album is far the worst album from astral Projection, the quality is poor and the tracks don´t sound at all like astral Projection and don´t give at all the feeling like old Astral Projection. People have told that amen is a bad album but comparing with this Amen is buityful oldschool psychedelic trance, that is really a jorney to listen, The Nexus, Technodrome and anything is possible are great tracks, esspecially if you compare it with this shit shit album.

    Wow, you guys are harsh.

     

    The only Astral Projection release that i didn't particularly find that great was "the astral files", i still brought it for my collection, but they have moved so far away from that sound now imo especially with the release of Dancing Galaxy and Amen which really caught my attention. Some of the tracks on Another World were an interesting journey. However Ten was nothing to cry home about but it was still some nice filler whilst waiting for the next release! and now the wait is almost over! ... In the end whatever they do there are always going to be people that either hate it, don't mind it, mildly enjoy it, or love it... such is the way of the individual.

    Their last releases are bad to me.. I prefer to "avoid" them and just stick to their earlier tunes.
