  1. That`s what I think is important for the beginners :

    - Pick some track from the demos and learn its structure and what types of sounds are used, and so on.. If you try to make something similar, but with the sounds you like, and if you succeed, that`s a good start... :)

    - Learn how to use the effects, by experimenting a lot :)

  2. MWNN isn't goa if you ask me. Well, not pure goa anyways, it has that semi-commercial sound. Melodic trance with a touch of goa, I'd say.

And I don't like any of his releases anything special.

    Well, if you ask

    http://www.di.fm/edmguide/edmguide.html

you will see that the first goa trance sample is MWNN - Teleport. I really like it, although it`s not very complex. I have listened only to the album Teleport, but I`m sure I`ll check out some other stuff.

  3. For the topic. Almost all remixes on Astrals - Ten is a punch in the face to all astral fans.

Dynamics massacre of the genious track Dancing Galaxy made me outrageous. And therefore is one of the worst remixes I've ever heard.

Well, I don`t say I like so much the originals, but the remixes are really (commercial) trash....

  4. Something like :

"Es riecht so gut, du kommst mir nach, dein Schweiz (?), der Nektar meiner ....... (?)

Maybe Cybernetika, if you are familiar with the track you could help with the exact words ? ;)

    I don`t know if it`s from a movie or not, but it`s successful :)

  5. ASTRAL PROJECTION - 'People can Fly'

'When you dream there are no rules, people can fly, anything can happen. Sometimes there is a moment as you are awakening when you become aware of the real world around you, but you are still dreaming. You may think you can fly but you do better not try. People can fly.'

    Taken from movie 'Kalifornia'

That`s my favorite, too. There was also some Israel trance track about 1:30 min. with some sample in German, but I`m gonna find it sometime later...

  6. Jerusalem????

i never heard about an astral track called jerusalem....

    where have you heard it?

    228930[/snapback]

Well, fairly said, I am not very sure about it.. I have some compilation, in which the 5th track is Chi A.D - Eye am the I, the 8th is Astral Projection - Electronic, and I think the 4th track is Astral Projection - Jerusalem. But I`m not sure about it! This track is about 9 minutes, it`s pretty fast too. I`ve asked a friend, who`s told me it`s called Jerusalem... If this is wrong, could someone correct me

  7. AP suxx large now , but their works were marvelous in the time , so like Seraph said , you´d better shut up

Well, this is ridiculous - Astral Projection are in my opinion the most noticeable EVER trance and goa artists. As for me, their works are still marvelous, even though I`ve already heard some amount of other psychedelic/goa trance artists.

pedro : And I am the first one to jump forward and state how 'Amen' was awful.

And here I have exactly the same opinion... Maybe they are getting more commercial, I don`t know...

Cheesy melodies ? I prefer cheesy melodies than some completely inoriginal melodies... For me, the genuinity of the melody plays a great role.

Spindrift : They sure kick ass compared to hallucinogen

Yes, that`s quite right, but should we compare them? In my opinion Hallucinogen is maybe typical psychedelic, and AP are goa trance ?

    My Favorites are ::

    H2H3

    We`re controlling transmission

    Allah Acbar

    Still On Mars

    Mahadeva

    Maian Dream

    Jerusalem

    Utopia

Indeed. Likewise I wouldn't start a post about every band I didn't like either. However, I like to get FRIENDLY debates going about anything that's generally regarded as great, classic, the best of its kind, most popular whatever e.g. Harry Potter books, the Beatles, Lord of the Rings films, Princess Diana. Why? because I think a lot of people are like sheep and accept things without questioning them. I like to question everything.

LOL, and if you would ask me about Harry Potter, I`d answer f***ing pure crap... but let`s do not go offtopic ;):lol:

You have sheeps in mainstream and pop music

Well, that`s quite right !!!! This does not mean I don`t listen to such music, but sometimes when some mainstream song, which is annoyingly famous already, is being played somewhere, I think : "Wtf, this is not the real music, the music I`d listen at home..." So be sure guys, this type of music we discuss here, is the REAL music. :):)
  8. ROFL, Holymen isn't psytrance and it's not regular trance, tbh I'm not even sure if you could call their stuff music at all. Releasing stuff like that should be considered a crime against humanity.

Ok, I saw it`s called "Nitzhonot".

  9. I like the album and especially the 3rd and the 5th track - respectively Retox Nation and Init. In my opinion Holymen has many more tracks that I find great than almost all other artists I listen to. Holymen maybe does not create psytrance, I know his music to be defined as only trance, and maybe that`s why everyone here is spitting at him, but no matter, I respect him and I am entirely convinced he has made a great contribution to the trance music <_<
