  1. Please do. Just moved into a new home and you inspired me to draw something similar... a plant or tree like something. :)

I'll have to do some furniture rearranging before I can do so. Definitely post it if you draw something. Posted Image

  2. Dayyyum fine as usual! I think the first one is my favorite. The third makes me think of a splattered, tripped out gecko, in a good way. A way that doesn't include the death of a trippy gecko. They eat annoying bugs, which is nice. Interesting concept, too, with the stains. Funny, I was just doodling around a stain on the back cover of a notebook the other day, it was fun and kinda organic. Almost as if I was growing a picture, rather than drawing it, from a random chaotic pattern. Interesting to see what comes out next, as I'm now letting some coffee dry in my sketchbook... :P

If I ever release an album I think I'll ask if I can use some of your work as the cover. If you would be so amazingly kind as to allow me to, that is. ;)

Thanks, dude! Just let me know when you release that album. I'd love to help out. :)

If you have a scanner, I'd like to see your drawing.

The first one is great! Really good work.. :)

    Thanks, Antares :) Much appreciated.

  3. It's an HBO miniseries. It's on the second season now. I usually detest shows/movies about vampires, but this is great. Vampires, shape-shifters, demons, homicidal maniacs, telepathic babes. Oh, and humans can drink vampire blood to get high. You'll see :D

  4. Has anyone been watching this series? I'm addicted to it. The series is based on books in The Southern Vampire Mysteries. More than anything I think this series is just plain fun to watch.

  5. I've started a new series of drawings involving staining and burning paper. So far, I've used coffee, red wine, and paper burning with a heat gun. After the stains/burns dry/cool, I draw on top of them with ink and white charcoal. You should try it, too, as it's fun to see what weird structures appear. My plan is to have 8-10 of these weirdos to hang somewhere in town. We'll see.

  6. I think blues is far enough removed from its African roots to be considered American-born, and rock & roll grew out of blues.

That makes about sense about the blues, but I always thought rock's origins bounced back and forth across the Atlantic, with Skiffle music in Britain being one of it's precursors.

Didn't house music originate in America?

Yeah, you're right. I didn't even think about that. Chicago and Detroit were the the major House players.

  7. A void. Nothingness. An explosion of earth, life and law. Chaos to order. Order to progress. Progress to enlightenment.

So here's the last track for the album. Can you dudes and dudettes tell me what you think? It's a very fantasy driven piece so it may not be your cup o' tea. I'm just glad I'm finished with creating it.

This track is in a 9/8 time signature. I wanted a challenge and have something interesting to work with rhythmically.

I do hope you like it :)

  8. I find Coldplay to be an excellent band. Mainstream shmainstream, it don't matta. I'm tired of having an elitist attitude about music. I'm sure my taste is unsophisticated and artless to others, but hell, there is good music everywhere. Even the crappiest songs will have a 5 sec portion of sweetness that you wish would just last longer (think 80's music ;)). I think that 's why a lot of remixes are made - taking the goods (according to one's taste), excising the crap, and adding new, tastier ingredients plus 25% less fat!
