  1. Of course it's not crap if a person is into this kind of music. Production wise its very good. But why do I call it crap? Simply because it got every horrible cliche attached to it. It's flooded with Euro Trance Hands in the Air riffs, Peace & Love, Spritual mumbo jumbo, Religious references, Alien cliches and Oli singing quite horrible trough vocoders (That trend died in the late 90's with Cher) . To me it can't be any worse.I doubt it was ever a joke to GMS and Mr. Oli. I am sure they think this is the (Ibiza) shit and predict they can milk the Cow and play for 10.000's in Mexico (I am sure they are right) ;)

I think you`re quite right, especially about "milk the cow... Ibiza shit...". THE BUSINESS. Cannot say more...
  2. As for Alien Jesus. God grief this is utterly crap!

I can understand you opinion. Cannot say this is crap, but it`s exactly something weird and stupid, and looks like a joke. No matter what Ollie & GMS wanted to say, the result is pity. Not my music, and not a psytrance, of course.

PS: Oh, I am not expert, and not evolved much into Goth`s culture. I have only read Ollie`s bio some years ago, and about Specimen is a goth band. But agree, their music is more rock influenced. :)

  3. lucky you. i've wasted nearly 5 minutes watching the whole video. i was too awestruck from all the crappyness and cheesyness, that i couldn't just close it :)

Oh guys! You definitely will not agree with me, but it`s NOT a bad video, and Alien Jesus not a lame project. BUT!!! Only if not looking to psytrance ego of Ollie Wisdom. I think all this stuff and image comes from "The Specimen" times, as we can see it`s a very important alter ego of Ollie.

I am talking about famous goth band Specimen (or The Specimen) from UK, where Ollie Wisdom is a front-man since 1982 to nowadays. I think he just want to refresh old times a little, with a touch of modern pop-disco-guitar shit :P:P:P

    Here is a some links

Old clips (early 80-s) - what a freaks!!!

    It`s all bloody GOTHS!!!

  4. Very interesting... yesterday at 7.30 PM thread was looking a bit different. Admin rulezzzz, and let there be peace! (not sarcasm). Well, my opinion is... it was very painful and important question discussed yesterday. Always we can find people who just want listen to same type of music and be glad of it (I can understand it, fan of speed metal and oldschool balck/thrash). And on the other side standing people who strongly wishing for development and innovations - and they are right too.

But one thing is clear for me: it is dead end for artists - trying to reach closer to goa trance as it was done 15 years ago, because this time is gone, and such feelings and emotions never will back. I like music of Antares or Liquid Flow (for example), and I also like strong British stuff by UX or Slinky Wizard. Understanding that they are really different, but I`m OK with it.

I agree with Elysium, but I also agree with Antares point of view. Cannot see reason for conflict here, honestly.

Oh, sorry for offtop and weak english.;)

  5. not feedback? :unsure::lol:

Oh, I am very sorry Christophe, I wish to reply many days ago, but was too busy. I agree with Imba, your presets in this track are very tasty, but in melody I find strong influence of Agneton, ad this is sounds strange. I don`t mean that Agneton is a crap, but... well, how to say... Agneton is Agneton, and he is perfect in his own style, so let Somnesia be Somnesia, that is I want to say :). This melody just don`t suits here. Also the background of the track looks empty, maybe you should fill it? But it`s only my taste, you must decide alone...Keep working!!! ;)

  6. Wow, what a cool things here! I listen many types of music (opera, goa trance, a lot of various metal, even enka songs ), and for all these purposes I have only one speaker system (sigh sadly):

This is a best I can find in place where I live. At least, it have full frequency range, powerful sound, and costs not very expensive for me (~60 eur). I have not any amplifiers or smth similar, that`s why they must work with this:

or with mp3 players (occasionally). But I must say that I would not change this old (is gold) Philips to any new model, because it have very, very good equalizer (new models do not have EQ at all, in any case, at Ukrainian market). When his days ends, I will cry :(

    PS: I don`t like headphones, so I don`t have any. ;)

Well, it`s not much about dark and acid sounds, but more about songwriting and storytelling. This brilliant track IMO is a masterpiece of true melodic and trippy goa trance. It`s a music! Perfect in all from beginning to the end: kick, percussions, bass line, layers, melodies... Many modern artists have a huge "armory" of sounds and effects, but I wish to hear from them such clever and high skilled composing, gathering all this "armory" like Miranda did in this track!

  8. I don't know is it goa trance or not, but I love album "A.B. Didgeridoo Oblivion - Liquid". So I don't care ;)

It's really unique unbelievable trippy, sometimes scarry stuff. It will be fun to listen more didgeridoo trance, or synthesis imitation with so powerful psychoactive activity.

Yeah, you`re totally right describing this. Magic and scarry thing! This guy (Sean Candy) is Australian, and always plays didgeridoo live with electronic support. But there`s one big disappointment in his music - I definitely don`t like breakbeat... :(

Example of rather crazy goa/psy, good composition and MY BELOVED KICK YEAH! You're on the right way Open Mind!

Браво Максим, так держать! Твой последний трек из Erta Alé настоящий образец вкусного гоа - темного, эпического, мясистого и мелодичного одновременно. Удачи тебе!!!

  10. Well, Christophe, I think this is you best track!

I like it at all, and like all the components: mysterious intro, dynamic bass (!!!), eastern melodies, twirling synth sounds, exciting drum rolls (or loops - I really don`t know how to say in right way, for example this cool drum 'things' from 8.10 to 8.16), I think that using such drum style - making goa music more energetic and bright. Unfortunately, many newgoa artists not often use this style (except Liquid Flow, Grand-Cheff, Ajna, Vox, MerrOw and some more - that`s good). So, it`s a beautiful track, and I 100% agree with Dimitriy (Sky Technoogy) - it must be released!

BUT! I have one disappointing thing to say: your bit sounds too loud and sharp for me, especially with a big track length :( Maybe, it should be muted a little, or using another bit (like on your Rainbow Source EP, it was cool!). Of course, I can only propose, you should decide yourself....

P.S. What about your and Oswald debut LP (Somnesia vs Pharaom)? Any news? I hope it`s not cancelled ;)

  11. Thats old one, from 2004 but great!

Yes, this is a good remix, like it!

Must say, I like Filteria`s 2004-06 style very much, much more then his recent. His last album is very interesting and shows fusion of many types of electronic music, I even feel strong influence of J.M.Jarre in some tracks! But his first album is still on top for me (and my little sister, she is in love with Domestic Modulator)!!!

Oh Imba, your avatar is cruel killer! It`s not a psy style, it looks like some brutal death/grind metal CD cover!!! B)B)B)

  12. Yeah, last couple of weeks was very hard for Stryder and me so we have to delay complete thing and reschedule a release date for this compilation. We got tracks ready, waiting just for mastering process to be finished and to complete design for cover artwork. It will be online 20.03.2011. at Ektoplazm with samples week or two earlier ;)

Well-well, waiting for tracklist, and samples, that`s all is very intriguing and exciting, I`m shivering :ph34r:

Btw Richpa, I have visited your metal blog, and like it very much! Is there English version, or it`s only Croatian? Unfortunately, I understand english much better...

My favorits are such genres like olschool heavy/doom, epic metal, speed/thrash, power metal. But I also like some brutal styles: black metal (not sympho :) ), especially Italian bands like Abhor, Malfeitor, Malvento, Tundra; some classical US death metal (Suffocation, Malevolent Creation, Monstrosity, Incantation). It was pleasant surprise that you are also a metalhead, not only psy :). Do you now that many goa producers started their ways in metal bands? Mindsphere was in death metal band, Dave Young (Chi-AD) played keys on two Venom albums (1991-92) etc.
