Monster Richard aka Dj Monster is the man behind the ChiChime partys in London, and has been ripping up dance floors for over 10 years with his blend of hard dance and psychedelic styles. His first party project ‘Munch’, based in Essex, saw Monster playing alongside huge names such as Lisa Lashes, Judge Jules and Lisa Pinup to name a few. But now he says “my heart lies with psytrance" and he has since shared line-ups with the likes of Astrix, Eskimo, Dejavoo, Talamasca and Skazi! Monster’s energy doesn’t stop there, looking to the future he will be hitting the studio producing his own music with the drive and passion Monster has, surely his own music will follow suit!

In keeping with the neuron~frazzling formula of EMC, a night of collaborations, conspiracies and audio anarchy, our theme this time will fast~forward to the future! Think Mad Max meets Hackers, mad scientists, freedom fighters, saucy short~circuiting robots, space~raiders and underground rebels! We expect molecular mayhem and quantum collisions on the dance floors this time with beings of all ethnic and technik backgrounds boogying on down!!! As the old saying goes, all good things must eventually come to an end and whilst illumiNaughty, Manchester’s most psychedelic club night, is still going strong, its 5th bday on 11th Feb will mark the end of an era for the legendary Ritz Ballroom! This old theatre will soon be closing its doors as HMV takes over. Whilst evolution is always welcome and change inevitable, the creative team behind illumiNaughty are planning to bid a very special adieu to the Ballroom, which has been a spiritual home for their Digital Theatre these past years. It seemed only fair to honour The Ritz’s theatrical legacy in style and so a suitably marvellous ‘Masked Ball’ has been conceived. As a parting farewell, The Ritz Ballroom (as we know it) will house one last magnificent masquerade to exceed all others, illumiNaughty are pulling out all the stops! Mysterious, masked and mischievous this unusual band of theatrical merry makers will unleash their own brand of theatrical chaos amongst the crowd, who are as always encouraged to don their most outrageous costumes and outlandish persona’s in public!
