    How great isn't this album? :blink:

     

    Just listened to it 3 times in a row. Awesome. The Delta has been a favourite of mine since I heard them. This just raises my respect for them. And since I've experienced them live aswell, I can say they are great on that front too. :D

    Yes, I'm aware I'm no full blown pro. I'm just saying you can do better stuff than people think mostly. :)

     

    I know I can do better as well. I "mastered" this with an onboard soundcard (~200 ms latency) and crappy stereo speakers. :P

     

    Also the bass sound was something I'm not fully satisfied with, it's not as deep as I wanted it to be and it misses that hard edge you often hear in psytracks.

    Nah, just kidding...  :D  The remix is pretty good actually - but as someone else pointed out, it will never outshine the original...  B)

     

    So, tell us how you did it? I take it you didn't have access to the original, seperated MIDI-files? Did you just play around with filters and toned down parts + adding other stuff?  :blink:

     

    Anyway - nice work!

    I just listened to the original, heard what key the song was in and just went from there. Played around with different sounds and generally having a blast. I had much fun making this remix. :)

     

    I used FL 5 + vst to make it.

    Ok, I just realised what I mean with "full-on" psy maybe isn't the same what you people mean.

     

    When I say full-on psy I mean fast, hard, pumpin psy. Anything from Delta to Electric Universe. Stuff I'm not too keen to dance to is the simpler, calmer psy. A Swedish example would be Artax.

    When Delta dropped Thing. Goosebumps! I thought Absolum was the weakest link that night. Still he had some great selections, but the others were even better!

    You don't want that Freq crap, throw on Scizoeffective by Delta or Classical Mushroom by Infected (or Radio by X-Dream)

     

    I think this psygressive trend blows... IMO (that's In My Opinion thankyouverymuch)

     

    Or go old-school and listen to Koxbox - Dragon Tales or even Astral Projection, if you like that sort of thing.  Astral Projection is too sugary for me, kind of like eating packets of sugar while rolling on E

     

    And stay the hell away from Skazi, Yahel, Alien Project, and just about any new release by an oldschool artist... (the new X-Dream, Infected), unless you're one of those... ravers... that likes happy hardcore and mainstream trance...

    Hey, I agree with you on most points! Although I like Yahel and some psyprog can be nice, but when I'm dancing I want full on psy all the way! ^_^

     

    full-on is ok. you get some pretty wicked full-on stuff. but if your at a party, i wouldnt want to hear full on the whole night. would kill your brain quickly.

    Just found these boards and they look good. I'll have to examine them further later.

     

    First topic on this board and what's a better way to start than with some shameless self promotion? :P

     

    I've dared to remix one of my all time favourites Tandu - Alien Pump. Added my own touch to it and I'm quite happy with the result. I'm not sure if this is some kind of trance/psy hybrid in a way. And for the record, this is not final version.

     

    Also Prio Alea started out as a two man project, but due computer problems my friend had, I did this song by myself.
