  1. I've been very, very inactive in this forum for a while. I used to listen to every song posted (although not posting as much, since I'm such a lazy bastard, and that I'm sorry for).

Anyway this is the first "psy/goa-ish" I made and I've been told it's great and I must say I love this track myself. Gotta believe in myself right? :P

Only thing I'm not 100% is some arrangement and mastering.

It doesn't sound like any regular psy/goa I think. Also check out the samples from The Ring that my friend Seance added and mastered. I love the touch of "scaryness" they give. :)

    Link removed. :)

Edit: Oh, just wanted to add that this track is from November 2003!

  2. The Gathering was the first album, you realize.. everything came out of it, Classical, BP, etc. it feels a lot more raw - the ideas, production, execution - than the other albums. I like that.

True it was the first album, and IMO you can hear it aswell. The sounds and the crazy ideas aren't fully evolved yet and it has this "raw" sound as you say. I like the work they did on BP and Classical better then their first, exactly because it's not as raw as the first. Now they have gone even further, more comercial and worse imo. Don't like the new stuff at all.

    Different taste. ;)

  3. only in production quality....

if you're talking original ideas, though, it's a whole different story.

In Classical and BP I think every song feels more unique, when listening to gathering I don't get that (as much). I like the melodic touches on Classical & BP, I'm kinda tired of the anonymous pumping psy with no melodies. Those work very well on the dance floor, but I still prefer the other 2 albums. And I disagree, I def think Classical and BP has more original ideas than The Gathering.

    All IMO. ;)

  4. Funny that a "mainstream" DJ most psy-snobs wouldn't even consider listening to, has produced an album more psychedelic than the majority of the releases on the psytrance market today :)

    I am in no way a "psy-snob".. :P

That's just being stupid imo, when there's so much music to love out there. ;)
