  1. Did you consider that maybe we are right, and you just haven't heard enough of the earlier goa-psy releases from 1997-1999 to realize that it's not revolutionary? You can't really say for sure something is revolutionary unless you have large exposure to the music that came before it. Yea I consider Classical Mushroom boring and I don't think the little "classical" parts they added -- even if they were the first group to ever do that, which they weren't -- are creative or revolutionary at all. Mixing between genres takes NO creativity... creating something beyond the known genres is what takes creativity.

  2. you just dont know what you are talking about

    go listen to

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfb04Fvpk0k

    now tell me whats annoying

The first one is like a rendition of some famous classical work, so I find that a bit annoying... but it's pretty good.

The others I didn't find good at all....

As the other person said, this stuff LACKS DEPTH ENTIRELY. It's very superficial and doesn't come off as anything special to me at all.

Oh yea... Bluetech is very bad too, I don't get why people like it.

  3. I thought the non-chronological plot was like a gaudy witticism that didn't really add anything to the movie, like QT was trying to be a nonconformist.

Anyways what do you guys think of Death Proof? That's one of the WORST movies I ever saw... rated it 1/10.

  4. This stuff should be called Annoying Music rather than Intelligent Dance Music because it's not intelligent and I don't know who would want to dance to some random clicking sounds that continually change have have no rhythm....

This stuff is easy to make, takes less talent, and I can't stand to listen to it.

  5. Watched Boogie Nights yesterday.

Pretty good movie... too bad there was absolutely no point to it and it got worse as it progressed.

    Rollergirl is so hot.

    6/10

  6. In fact in many cases I wouldn't know if an artist is utilizing sample (as a technique) or not. They could have recorded them by themself as far as I know. I think the reason I don't like the way trance uses samples is because it is obvious it is a samples. For instance; they tend to use samples from famous movies and other well known sounds. It takes the edge of the music. It's like seeing the same actors/actresses in movies all over again. It's cheap.

I like the samples.... It gives something small to remember the track by like lyrics in pop tracks, without taking away from the music. In fact if the sample is well chosen, it may enhance the music, like in the UX album there's a lot of dark sci fi samples well used.

Sure some record their own samples, but no need when they were already scripted and recorded for movies quite well. It would be hard and probably have worse results.

I also think there's some irony or joking behind many of the samples and music, like they are usually absurd. We are mocking them by embracing them sort of thing.

  7. taxi driver 2 lol

Yea to be honest I fell asleep and never even finished the movie... but I really tried to stay awake... so I rated it accordingly to how entertaining it was.

Hehe, Pulp Fiction is stupid and boring? Why do you think that? You must be able to tell me why when you diss a movie like that, otherwise you just look stupid.

Of course I can tell you. A few parts in it were witty, but most of it was rather lame, but the whole plot moved too slowly. In the end there is really no point to the entire movie.
  8. So bwhale, thats a mad long list, since you gave Butterfly Effect a 8, I'd suggest you check out Donnie Darko

    Added to my wantlist thanks.

Though I think I overrated The butterfly effect, it's a kind of stupid movie. :drama:

  9. you've seen so much; it could be even admirable.

Oh yea? My goal in life is not to watch as many movies as possible... anyways those are just the ones that I watched in the last year and remembered to rate after I watched them.
  10. Lol Pulp Fiction is pretty boring and lame. QT is very overrated. The best movies IMO are the ones rated 9-10. White Chicks was quite a funny comedy. Mortal Combat and Snatch are 2 that I admit should probably be reduced since they both suck as far as I remembered.
