Forest Spirit in particular. What an awesome album.
hmmmmm, yeah!
-
I would like this! But its down
-
BTW, feel free to hijack this thread if youre looking for something!

Does anyone know some tracks with a nonstandard kick pattern? Doesnt have to be the whole song, doesnt have to be any pattern in particular, as long as it's dynamic like here
Preferably darker full-on or darkpsy

I really like your taste in tracks, and also the arrangement is great. Mixing falls short a bit though. I like longer progressions, where you dont exactly know whats going on unless you know the tracks well. (edit: im not sure anymore. its not that theyre too short really, more like it becomes messy/hasty at some point most of the time)
Will listen to this again for sure.
Can you fix the tracklist btw? Protonica is track 5 and track 4 = ?

Yeah, Dickster is the best. I'll check out FP and if you know "UK style" prog from outside the UK, let me know
For example: the prog tunes on Hux Flux - Division by Zero
Also: any ETA on the Allaby debut? Couldnt find anything last time I checked.
-
What progressive artists/labels are in the UK? Something like the prog version of nanorecord maybe?
-
More like this please! wow!
-
"What if I told you we all came from outer space" <-- this is not cool uuuuugh
i hate drugs samples even more and i have absolutely nothing against drugs, i just dont want to bother other people with it, so i try to keep those out of my playlist

10000 days is so trippy. Favorite band!
-
I like it mainly the heavy bass ones though. The mixing is shiny.

I like what you're doing. A negative and/or short review is better than no review. Carry on.

Very very nice! <3

Thanks for the kind words. I don't like longer mixes myself and I need to explore some more genres first, so, sorry!
-
What on this list is like Hux Flux - Postpone the Phone? (last track on the 2003 album Division by Zero)
-
I'll be honest, my friends don't really like this, so I have to lure them in with a catchy melody
About Echo Plantation, the song is 11 minutes and only runs on its own from 31:00 to 35:40 in my mix, while the melody runs all the way till 38:50 (but quietly) so, it's my remix?
-
The last thing I care about in a mix is the mixing skills.
For me is
80% track selection
19% arrangement
1% mixing skills
I don't understand. A good transition can elevate the new song for at least 3 minutes and if the mix keeps doing this all the songs will be elevated and this can even accumulate. Mixes that don't build up or at least conserve energy this way are not worth much imo. For a mix to listen at home multiple times it's more important than live though, because hearing the same bad transition a couple times can really get annoying and also a fantastic one can grow on you a lot.
But I still agree that track selection is more important.
