There is no general topic forum as far as i could tell
so this is not really psytrance related, but still asking here
because people here have at least one website in common
- don't say google
- murphythecat, please reply so i know what websites not to visit
-
Mostly good tracks, mostly good mixing nice work
-
rehost speedcore mix please
-
Hux Flux made also some nice tunes. Maybe not in the typical Full On style but it sounds more modern than Cryptic Crunch:
This really did it for me groovy!
-
I'm just gonna be blunt, I hope people do the same to me.
The mixing is sometimes pretty abrupt or just unbearable.
Keeps the set from having a good flow.
Try to not let all energy that is built up fall away like @ 67:00 keep it going at least until 67:08
and keep some sounds from the previous track going because the new track is not yet going strong.
Just an example, this happens more often.

Some melodies at the start to get you in the mood for some dark stuff.
Style: Dark Progressive
Length: 14 tracks, 69 minutes
BPM: 135-145
Tracks by S-Range, 12 Moons, Noma, MOS, Neoris, Vibrasphere, Cujorius One and Overdream bonus track at the end
-
S-Range - Space is also great!
Man, what happened to the prog scene? Why isnt it hypnotic anymore?
-
Highlights so far:
MOS - Drive
Noma - Navigators
Cujorius One - The Art Of Mindfucking
awesome stuff
Now for a little more midrange tone spacy sounds, still driving on that dark atmospheric beat
Still some suggestions to go
-
I am really enjoying Timedrained right now... Deep and groovy
Also big fan of the Protonica album.
And some of the more known stuff, although some of it sounds good at first but gets old quickly like Neelix/Day Din/Lish

1.) Entheogenic - Entheogenic
2.) Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination
3.) Shpongle - Are you Shpongled
Mentioned several times...
is it strange that i love Entheogenic but hate AYS?
-
Why not?
Best advertisement
I think i prefer both psytrance and minimal techno
But I need to dance to this to be sure.
-
eww, this stuff ruined my evening. The 2 nights before this the music here was so good.
And the mainstage was unbearable sound quality, unless you like to hear your music twice with 0.5 secs in between
-
Wrong link btw, this is the track i meant: http://217.160.71.18/f/wil/wil1cd005t8.m3u
Yeah the baselines are not great. But I thought the thread was about if there are good tracks with a full on baseline.
I must say that i have not found another good full on album that is not yet mentioned in this thread though.
Also maybe check this out: Jocid - The Machine (2009)
I should look more into Darkpsy.
-
Curious what you people think about this newer release: Realitygrid - Reality Check (2007)
The tracks are too much alike to be a really good album, but some tracks are great, like no 8.
-
Exactly! I dont like Goa that much, but this is a kind of sound i want. Such good 10AM(or later) outdoor music.
I'm talking about the slower tracks here. The last track is my favorite, chillout but still with a very active kick, love that!
If anyone knows more sound like that, pm me! (especially the chillout stop & go kick)
-
Thanks, good thread!

Maybe it's Sensient you're looking for? The album is called Antifluoro.
Others you might like: MOS - Drive, or Neoris - The Dissidents.
Neoris - The Dissidents <-- :posford: yeyeye that's the stuff
Sensient <-- the sounds/samples seem a bit random
MOS cant find any samples, but is pretty old anyway
Sugestions still welcome!

You keep mentioning this album Mr Talpa. I got it and can't see what your fuzz is about, I can't seem to find the special and greatness you seem to hear. Its boring.
PsyNina
maybe you'll like some of the tracks on Frost-RAVEN's Star Muse?
But for real, check out this album
hm, track 2 is fresh i guess...
But really, Im not saying I like PsyNina, I just know those are the sounds im looking for at the moment, but PsyNina is full-on so thats no use, but if you listen to that one song on beatport maybe you know what im talking about
also the first song here is exactly what im looking for:
All the prog I know is way too fluffy
-
Ectima
Ectima - Insufferable User
this is about what im looking for but it could be even more grinding, do you know what i mean? Anyway listen to the Psynina track.
-
tegma
lish
zen mechanics (from the netherlands)
behind blue eyes
NOK
Perfect Stranger (pretty melodic)
Odiseo
Ace Ventura
Morax
M-Theory (fullon-ish)
...hundreds more...
all hail bland housetrance!
I know all these, and it's good, but im loking for darker stuff. Maybe its not even really progressive what im looking for. I just hear it at parties so I dont even have an example
As i am typing this I am hearing an OK example ar Beatport! Psynina - The Hero. Is it Prog? its 130 bpm i think, which is fine. The sounds used are so grand... The rest she makes seems to be full on
-
What is good Progressive for late night storming?
135-140 bpm, baseline can be anything from 2 per beat (preferable) to full on style.
Has to be atmospheric, but not too melodic
Thanks

And what is that live quality that's always in recordings that you can actually hear through crappy speakers? Why doesn't all music sound so great? (ofcourse its a crappy recording, but thats not what i mean)
V/A - Lucas Presents: God Save The Machine

Create a Hippy is the standout track for me here. Such a great bass (emphesis on the 1st and 3rd quarter-beat, 3rd being one octave higher) very hypnotic. I wish i would dig GOA more but for some reason i like this "GOA full on" better than both GOA and normal full on.
