  1. I never listened to music much. Then I stole some ipods a few years ago and I was like... WTF should I put on them since all this music everyone listens to is so crappy? Then I randomly found astral projection & transwave on the intrawebz and fell in love. Cool story eh? B)

  2. Yep the to sirius one is classic by now ;) but when i listened to it directly after 9th you can really hear how they have advanced in terms of production everything is just way more clean and balanced on 9th IMO. And yes this can sure be one of the contenders to best of 2008.

You can hear how sound quality has progressed in the last 8 years. The music itself isn't as good as their debut by far, though it has its moments.
  3. I already wrote what I am talking about in my first post, but since you have not elaborated upon which part of my post do you not agree with any why, I don't know what and how to respond, and/or what part of your filed complaint should I focus on. :D

Well as a guideline for next time, it would be the sentence I quoted. :D

Yeah it's one of those stupid phrases that so many people use but never really think about & it's one that really annoys me.

You can't compare A to B! A is much better. I think you just compared them there mate!

Can I ask you a question? Didn't give me much of a choice there did you?

You've lost your keys? They'll be in the last place you look? No shit sherlock, I'm not going to continue looking after I found them am I?

    There are so many <_<

Get over it! This saying stems back beyond nihilist times where vulgar people know no limits and want everything to be considered on equal playing grounds.
  4. Nice to see Dogma & Electron Wave & Moon Tribe in a mix.

Lol @ last track. Never heard of her before but just listened to the original.

I see this also: Mylène Farmer - Pardonne-moi:

    A Pardonne-moi (Forgiveness Club Remix) (6:30)

Remix - Blue Planet Corporation , Jaïa

Are these for real? I guess done as a joke. ^_^ Can you upload them unmixed?

  5. OK it's not as good as To Sirius, that was a masterpiece granted.

This is pretty simple and floaty, but it's still great... just not the best of the best. Maybe the best of 2008.

  6. I guess if you don't like long drawn out ambient then you are going to find this boring.

Juno Reactor have always one to explore many styles so it's only fitting that they should have an ambient album too. Ambient doesn't have to go anywhere. It's not all about the destination it's the journey that counts sometimes.

Journey = going somewhere. I don't care if it returns to where it started if it goes somewhere.
  7. Magik Universe defeats allmost every goatrance release.

QFT! I often second doubt that Transdimensional is better.

Dimension 5 had a phenomenal debut in my ears, but just too confined within already rigid genre limits. The Pleiadians knew no limits, had no limits and set limits other are yet to overcome.

What are you talking about?
  8. Love this quote! Are you not yourself comparing them? :P

It's a figure of speech bub. It's like saying how can you even compare a peasant to a prince? One is so much superior to the other that it's crude to mention them in the same sentence. Get it?

Either way I prefer Pleiadians! FOL was such a great album, it blew my socks & toenails right off it did.

I also preferred FOL to IFO.
  9. Transdimensional is more "driving" music =] while IFO is more DANCE YOUR ASS OFF music.

Agreed. Seems like the DANCE YOUR ASS OFF crowd runs the Pleiadians bandwagon. Look at what bandwagons they run in other genres of music for a view of how poor their taste is. The music isn't very good when you're not in a crowded field waving your arms and legs around.
  10. No variation

    Is this a joke?!

All these albums are very different styles: Transdimensional, Second Phaze, Magik Universe, To Sirius, The Uncertainty Principle

The only thing in common is that they are all (the first 4 at least) awesome!

The sounds don't vary much throughout the album... is that your problem? Why would anyone want them to? The whole point is for them not to, and for them to be mixed together for a 70-80 minutes of nonstop ownage music, even if it uses similar sounds throughout.

Pleiadians albums are like all one style. Maybe the tracks on the album have a wider range of sounds....

  11. I don't even understand how people can compare these groups, let alone say Pleiadians is #1 in goa trance.

Close your eyes and imagine all those layers and melodies thrown into the directionless Pleidians tracks on IFO. Imagine that they are being precisely arranged to tell a series of unique epic stories. The unnecessary stuff is being cut out. All the layers are being tweaked to work together to create a beautiful sound rather than relying on enough melodies thrown in 1 track to provide random sensations the whole way through. They are being arranged into epic builds and don't just have simple repeating melodies going in and out. What do you see now? Surely it is... omg... Transdimensional...!? :D

Granted that Second Phaze, being a much inferior album to Transdimensional, might be more comparable to Pleidians. But there's still the Magik Universe and To Sirius which can be played against a Family Of Light or Alien Protein attack. And even The Uncertainly Principle can be used in combat to defeat a 21st century Etnica release. :wank:

  12. Mind To Mind is on par with their first album, amazing track!

The album as a whole is not as good as Transdimensional though, by far. This album is more floaty and slower. Most of the tracks aren't that memorable.

I don't like Moon Cake much though most people are praising it. It's promising in the first minute but nothing good comes out of it. It's also pretty cheesy at the end.

Transformation, The Z Principle and Polaris 1 are great tracks. I like Beyond The Stars and Polaris 2 as well. Tracks 2 and 4 are the weaker ones.

Similar sounds and to their original album but not as much work put in to accomplish that same epic direction in the tracks that every track on Transdimensional had. It's still a great album, but not untouchable as their first was!

  13. I did not claim I own the word Belgium, you Claimed you were from Belgium, and I doubt its even true (ill believe its a small unknown village), and will even challenge you to prove me that you are from BELGIUM IN CANADA!

It's a secret tactical defense city as I work with the Canadian military. I cannot disclose the location sorry.

You sir, are just out to be an asshole... I am just out to destroy every thread that you ever open... all day long.

Sounds like the definition of an asshole to me. <_<
  14. Money for ripped music? That's more like stealing from the artists than just downloading via torrents/emule/whatever it if you ask me. People downloading often wouldn't buy it anyway, but if you are charging people money then you are directly taking money from the artists. Just my 2 cents

Except that we're talking about music that you can't buy from the artist/label for many years! Most of these labels are long gone. Some of the artists even died. You can forward the money for the rip on to the artist if you like.

But the point is: who would you rather steal from the artist? Collectors who pay the artist when they can and own the original to make copies from, or random people who aim to never have to pay a cent for music.

  15. Yeah whats up? Thought it was quite obvious trolls, first the "christian goa trance" threads then a bunch of other random non sense :drama:

Umm what's the difference between a "troll" thread and a normal thread?

Hmm... in one case the person is serious, in the other they are lying?

The only "trolls" that need to be banned are the ones that make fake treads that degrade the forum. I could make the exact same threads as you do but be lying in them, this doesn't mean a thing.

In fact many people may define "troll" such that threads must be negative to be troll threads, in which case most of my threads don't qualify.

  16. I have it (me=discogs submitter) I bought it on ebay also, but not for €1.

But didn't understand your post dude.

It sold it on ebay for €1, understood. But I completely don't understand the second sentence.

Edit: think I understood: you're from Canada, and seller won't ship there. You're willing to pay €30 for it right ?

Yes that's what I meant. Maybe that's a good thing though I see it for 15EUR now. :o Is it worth it in your estimation?

 Sunwolfs not from Canada.. He's just over there to find beer in the woods

I don't see "Off Topic" anywhere in the forum title. :wank:
