  1. Hello,

I readed some bad comments after the picture of the psychedelic fish under the CD tray of that CD a bit everywhere.

As I got a bit irritated by these comments, I decided to post the original cover I did and that THE ARTIST didn't liked.

That's why I had to change for the fish, lol he liked ....so here is the story!

  2. I see SO MANY ambient releases that I don't know what to get. Can you recommend some of your favorites?

Here are a few I have to to give you an idea...

Chronos - Steps To The Great Knowledge ... great.. 4.5/5?

    Astral Waves - Mystique ... OK.. 3.5/5?

    Hey, thanx ;)

I recommend also my 2 first compilations: Peace Therapy Vol. 1 & 2, you will like them as much as Opus Iridium Cd2...

I have good deal on Discogs for Peace Therapy ones, let me know if you wish...

    Cheers!

    Gabriel.

  3. Hello,

i don't remember how to disable the thing that makes the posted answers compiled to the bottom of each topic!

I mean: usually I read a topic and all answers and quotes are here, following the pages, but I only want to read all without having to click at each time on them to expand!!!

    plz help :)

    thx!!

  4. Shit.Too bad...

    My experience with pedro:

This guy responds VERY quickly when you're offering him $$$. Once you pay him - you don't hear from him very often for weeks. Then he comes up with all kind of excuses. Then he sends cds thrown in envelope without ANY additional wrapping (because it's "TOO EXPENSIVE") - result: my last batch showed up totallly fucked up because of moisture (digipacks and artwork shrinked and warped). Not to mention that he didn't send me 2 cds I paid him for cause he sold them to someone else and didn't bother to tell me about it. Instead he sent me 1 random cd. Now I'm waiting almost a month for an ANSWER. God only knows when I'm gonna get my refund or other cds ....

I can understand someone is busy with multiply orders etc. But NO COMMUNICATION/IGNORING BUYERS is not acceptable imho. Especially when he seems to be online VERY often.

  5. hello Pedro,

Still waiting for your CD's...I ordered and paid you thru Paypal:

Kinetico - Atmosphere - Flying Rhino Records

Liquid Stranger - The Invisible Conquest - Interchill

    On June, 1st !!!

  6. Yes - this is a "promo" CD dubbed from the official album release.

They put a sticker on it maybe 'cuz the design was imperfect on that first "test"? pressing, or it's the original pressing? We can be sure of that when Technossomy will find his copy!

I can clearly see that writings on the CD are the same as on the Full Moon party flyer I got in '2000...

    So I don't think it's a bootleg...

At that time at BMPHQ there was so many people involved (and that was mainly why they splitted at the end): artists, organisators, dj's.. etc, so there was some people sheduled to take care of the pressing and distribution of the music at parties, but they haven't sold anything out of Thailand at that time, well.... except to me ;o) lol

So it was decided to print official promo's for that party, as they used to do.

The artists playing that night on Koh Phangan island was D5, Dogma, Ra, etc...

I'm sure they pressed several times and some batches were just not proper (remember the first pressings of Ra, Hunab Ku and Electron Wave with blanks).

I believe that CD comes from there and is very rare, so you may list it as on official "promo" on Discogs and this is certainly worth 100$ at least.

Good for you that you pay only 2euros!! ;o)

  7. Hi everyone! as i wrote on discogs, the album is a masterpiece, i have heard in my life a LOT of oldschool stuff and believe me there is some magical vibe to this one, i really admire a producer that despite the difficult times we are living musically speaking, managed to concentrate the essence of what used to be the music that had us dancing and dreaming. Regarding the chit chat above of being an album with no soul, i ask to the guy if he managed to find any soul in the modern produced material. To me it is impossible to find.. and if you say oldies were always better, ok i can agree but remember that these oldies are somehow magical because we all have great memories of parties, situations, atmospheres that were created because it was THE THINGh, everywhere the music played was the same and there was somehow a vibe over the world that was simply different. If theoretically right now they would play only oldschool music at every party everywhere in the world the vibe globally would change, both on the producers and on the people but this wont happen as for now for what i see. But back to the album i can say it has a balanced structure and the order of the tracks is also very well chosen, we build up to an apex of the fastest and most delirious track in the middle to get down and get more deep an mature to the tracks towards the end. So really overall, if u miss this album, you are missing a true piece of art. It will build its own history on its own, there wont be any need to speak furthermore from my side. Big respect to the artist for his work and all his dedication and a big thanks to the suntrippers for bringing us another gem :)

    Really well said, Fede!

You took out words from my mouth...

Let's have a great summer with this new great album and get some memories to tell about it in years...

    Thanx Suntrip :D

    Cheers

  8. 8. Astral Waves – Contemplation

This is a strange track & sounds rather strange following on from Bongalore And Beyond as it’s much much darker. It starts off with dark slave labour like sounds. I’m put in mind of Orcs from The Lord of the Rings movies being forced to build some dark evil structure. However as the track goes on it gets lighter & more natural sounding. In such contrast to the beginning I’m sure I can hear the sound of children playing in the background. The melody is bright & it really gives you something to think about, dark oppressiveness to bright hope in just a few minutes.

Hello and thx for your complete review of this great V/A B)

Well if possible I'd clear one point: the intro is made with Tibetan bowls and Tibetan chants surrounded by low octave pads.

I'm sure you already know that Tibetans like to have those really deep meditations while chanting their mantras and rubbing their big bronze bowls.

This is it! So it's not Orks from T.L.O.T.R ;)

A deep meditation (so the title of my track) starts then enlightenment follows in a more contemplative way, as your words described very well.

    :P
