    The year 2012 has been fantastic with many quality releases by Altar artists, and we are proud to finish off the year with a one of our best ones yet!
    Altar Records presents it's final release of 2012 with Astropilot's long-awaited 8th album, "Star Walk".

    Following in the style of his well known "Solar Walk" series, this opus brings to us more of the depth and quality of composition that Dimitry is known for with his 10 years of experience and audio craftsmanship.

    Including remixes from acclaimed Greek musicians Alwoods and Cabeiri and featuring two exclusive and unreleased live remixes from his performance at Boom Festival 2012, “Star Walk” is a unique and beautiful listening experience that represents the passion and drive that both Astropilot and Altar records share in their love of music.

    Could this be Altar and Astropilot's final inspiration??? We'll see!
    Hopefully we will see you all on the other side of the Mayan's predictions for 21/12/2012 and look forward to more good music for 2013!

    Nikita Stalker, a Russian composer from Crimea, enshrouds the listener in a primordial psybient atmosphere with his second full-length album "Digital Illusions".

    Throughout Digital Illusions, intelligent body beats yield to shifting synthscapes as commanding bass pulses ride beneath arpeggiated triads that twinkle on-and-off, in-and-out, like star's in the night sky and ultimately cascade back down to concentrated moments of sonic density where tonality speaks to a deeper intentionality.

    Loaded with arcane symbolism, intricate aural tricks and dense layers of meaning, Digital Illusions manages to retain a harmonic warmth and rhythmic sensibility.

    This album also leads the listener into more meditative and darker spaces as well - exploring the philosophical interplay between reality and artifice.

    Chronos is a project by Moscow-based musician Nick Klimenko who used analog gear and hardware synthesizers exclusively for this recording. Nick’s fifthe album “When Mars Meets Venus” is split in two parts: the first is the factory-pressed cd “Mars” featuring nicely crafted down-tempo electronics, while the second chapter is the cosmic endeavour “Venus”. “Venus” takes off with “Leaving Gaia”, where Mr Klimenko presents a contemporary orchestral/classical work with powerful rhythms and dynamic string arrangements along non-vocal/choir pads. After that, the music makes a profound shift toward majestic, drifting, chill-out outerspace realms: non-rhythmic passages and cinematic soundscapes evolve gradually and to full extend. Personal favourites are the immersive “Star Swimmer” and “Red Planet” beside the slightly groovy and more melodic-oriented “Dark Flame Landing”,“Soaring in Abyss” and “Venus Eyes”. Although the latter reveal a certain sense of movement, they retain a relaxed, otherworldly mood.
