  1. Hi all! I've just completed and posted a new mix on the Goat Ranch, and this one's all Hux Flux, all the time. Hux Flux - Max-Capacitance With 90 minutes of tracks from 1998 through 2000, it's full of chewy, tweaky goodness. Enjoy!
  2. Hi all! Just wanted to let you know that the Goat Ranch is still alive and kickin', and I've just posted up the second guest DJ mix: The Tree Tribe - Jungle Fever (Rapid Ascent Mix) Check it out, and I invite you to take some time and poke around a bit, there are plenty of mix downloads for your grooving pleasure. Thanks!
  3. Wow. I really, really am digging your last two tracks. Most definitely my favorite of your work so far. It's exciting to hear someone explore this path on the old-school vibe and finally create something that's not the same old over-the-top, super-layered, heavily melodic morning sound. No goofy artificial cheesy builds, no silly 4-bar yawn-inducing breakdowns to break the trance, just killer groove with subtle psychedelia. Fantastic. I'm very interested to hear where you move in this direction, please do keep it up, and thank you for these!
  4. Good morning/afternoon/whathaveyou depending on your location on this fine planet of ours! Today is the launch of Global Goa Party: Love Gravy. You can either download all of the mixes separately, download a single file containing all of the mixes with very short ambient fades between them, or listen to them as they're broadcast on DI.fm today starting at 2PM US EST, 7PM UK, 20:00 central Europe. For the mixes, hit the Goat Ranch: Global Goa Party - The Mixes For the DI.fm broadcast, hit the DI.fm Goa-Psy channel: Digitally Imported's Goa-Psy Channel (event listing: DI.fm Event Listing) Have fun trancin' out to some 1999ish stuff, everyone!
  5. Hi all, This was posted previously in the "DJ Promotion" forum, but I figured I'd better move it in here since the Global Goa Party happens this weekend! Woohoo! Please see the Goat Ranch for more information - and tune in to the DI.fm broadcast on Saturday for 15+ hours of 1999-era Goa and psychedelic trance!
  6. Hey there, Psynoozers! Just a quick update to let ya'll know the Global Goa Party is still on, and will be scrambling your bits very soon, now. Global Goa Party - soon now! Make sure you slather up the gravy with some bread. Damn, I love doing that.
  7. DOH! All filled up now, sorry. Was just coming back to post as much and saw this. You are more than welcome (and encouraged!) to join in on the next event, however. I'll be sure to post up on the next go-round.

  9. I was asked a question on another forum and thought it might entice some of you DJs who are less inclined to spin the old hyper-melodic cheese to join in: --- Q: Do you specifically want Goa style trance rather than the 'new' progressive psy that was emerging at that point? A: Actually, I probably should have called it the Global Goa & Psytrance Party, but that doesn't roll off the tongue as smoothly. There were a ton of sub-genres emerging at the time, with killer releases coming out of just about everywhere (often to the chagrin of many the melodic die-hard). This is your party, and you guys are the DJs - play anything you like as long as it fits with your time slot. Don't feel restricted by the "Goa trance" tag. We had Hux-Flux, Paps and Tripiatrik, Son Kite, and Intact Instinct. The 3DVision sound was showing up and GMS was really rippin' by now, but then there was MOS and BPC and Bus. You might hear all of these guys at the same party, and as long as the music fit the time slot, it was good. ---
  10. Hey all you freaks! I've just posted up the latest "event" at the Goat Ranch: Global Goa Party "The idea for the Global Goa Party is to create the soundtrack for a full night (and morning) of old-school Goa trance by ten DJs from all over the world." Hope some of you will participate! The Hunab-ku Magik Mix Contest was a blast, can't wait to see what we put together for this one.
