I love BoC, their Music has the Right to Children album totally captured my attention the first time I heard it, beautiful nostalgic melodies, lovely!
I agree with Neophyte about Arovane, good stuff.
If you like BoC you should really look for Tycho's Sunrise Projector album. Yes, that's the Tycho you know from a handful of Tip World compilations. This time around beautiful melodies all the way:

Anything with goa trance or psychedelic trance in the title tends to suck more often then not.
I agree with Ritual Om about the tracks: 1, 2 and 8 are good, especially 8.
Patchworks music tends to be nice, but it's not goa trance in any way.
Ololiuqui never really caught my attention, Valves was one of their better tracks if I remember correctly.
Shiva Chandra was one of those acts pioneering the minimal sound back in the days, but there's only a handful of his minimal compositions that are interesting, most of the time the ones with melodies.
As far as Space Tribe is conserned, well, don't expect anything groundbreaking, but still enjoyable from time to time.

- The always delayed Twisted releases
- Jaia
- Nuclear Ramjet
- James Monro
- Penta

Well, I could describe the song. It starts off like a normal trance track, nice bass and repeated lyrics. A female voice repeats 'in tune' over and over as the track speeds up. Then, it ramps up, and kicks in with the most awesome beat at the 1:25 minute mark, where the voice now says 'in every direction'. Then it slows down a bit again and later kicks in one last time.
And thanks for making me feel right at home on my first few posts, you guys are great and I hope we can figure out what this song really is.
I don't know what tune this is but upload a minute or so of it somewhere and make a post in the lost tracks forum and I'm sure we will be able to figure out what it is your enjoying and give you some further recommendations.

"Yes... Twisted has recently taken a serious blow, by the bankruptcy of our main distributor, EFA.... this meant we lost a lot of stock and money, and had to find new distribution... i would urge fans of twisted to actually buy the CDs, instead of just downloading it, in order to see future releases!"
in a recent interview: http://www.shpongle.com/hallucinogen/frame-main.htm
Here's the correct link:

Interesting read and finally an explanation to the constant delays.

What makes Posford special is the flow and transistion in his compositions and that everpresent earthy/shroomy vibe. Few can recreate a psychedelic state of mind like he can and there's an atmosphere in Posfords work that few can compete with.
I dare say that noone has influenced the psychedelic trance scene as much as he has. Both his Hallucinogen and Shpongle albums have pushed the boundaries of psychedelic music. I am confident that must people who have worked with Posford have been hugely influenced by him and learned a lot of new tricks.
Consider the total output of any person or group and compare that to Posfords work and I bet you will find that he stands above the rest. Furthermore, few groups have managed to evolve, push the boundaries and still remain psychedelic like Posford have.
This might not be enough to declare someone a genius or a new Mozart, but it's enough to declare Posford as the most influential person in the psychedelic trance scene.

Listen to The Infinity Projects "Feeling Wierd" album, there's a couple of tracks that stand out a lot production/quality wise, Posford is involved in all of them. The same goes for most compilations where Posford have been involved. Shamanix might be the exception, it's definitely not the norm.

Transient licensed Astral Projection albums for release in Europe and released some half decent compilations. They had Cosmosis and that's about it.
Long live Cosmosis!

This actually sounds fresh, and the reference to Digitalis and Metal Spark is spot on!
When will we be able to get this album and from whom? The usual online stores?

The Dub Shadows album was released on a label called Cyan. The album wasn't very exciting:

Bus and Slinky Wizards albums have been on the top of my list for so many years now.

Gus Till has released a new album called Electric Oceans. The release text for this album is the funniest thing I've read in a while:
Gus Till has been active as a musician, producer and Dj since the Punk days...
...of the 70's in Melbourne Australia.
It participates psychedelic trance scene as slinky wizard from genesis, recently album release with the Zen Lemonade name is newer than Dragonfly in memory, scene prominent creator Gus Till.
Chill out album, electric of the highest quality which is colored in image of the south of the fantasy which the he sends ocean.
Comfortable warmly the acoustic image which is the straw raincoat which is done covers the whole and it is exotic and one oriental starts projecting fantastic scene beautifully.

This text must be a direct translation from japanesse or something.
A lot of psy-trance release texts tend to be poorly written, but this has got to be the worst I've seen so far.
Btw, the samples at Psyshop sounds ok, has anyone heard the full album?
-
Slide's (Pete Martin side project) Confusional State is funky though.

The homepage address for Celluloid Dmage has changed, the new one is http://celluloid.oletustila.net
None of the tracks can be found.

Dementertainment is one of the highlights, if not the highlight of the psy-trance scene. If I remember correctly Twisted spoke of releasing an Infernal Machine live cd from the Dementertainment release party, but it never was released, and we never got any more Infernal Machine tunes.
Btw, Clarity from Deep Fog was one of those tunes that a lot of people became influenced by: only weird noises for several minutes and then a melody at the end.
np: Torakka - Dead and 74

I just got my hands on what is credited as being Dino Psaras remix of Eurythmics Sweet Dreams. Is he seriously playing this track in his live sets? That distorted fake electric guitar, I've never heard anything sound as awful.
I'm thinking that the tune I have could be a fake by some kid. The tune is 4.38 long, there's a break at 2.23 and build up until 2.43 and then there's a sudden stop at 3.35 but unfortunately (!!!) the tune continues for another minute. There's no singing, just the melody.
*shudder*
np: Aimee Mann - One (Rude Ass Tinker Remix) <--- That is a fun remix
-
These tracks are as random as fractals. Psychedelic music is about being in the moment and expecting the unexpected. Psychedelic music should question the boundaries rather than stick to them.
Psychedelic music does not equal psychedelic trance.
np: Bluetech - Alchemie Dub
shpongle & samples.

Hey EP, notice the last sentance of my post?
