  1. Fro Databloem I'd reccomend the following albums:

Off The Sky - "Gently Down The Stream" (Really uplifting)

Mutagene - "Sleeping Posession" (Quirky dub)

Spieleri & Mantacoup -"Wichman and Other Pieces"

and I'd go for Collection 2 & 3... colleciton one is really long trtacks (15 minutes or more) and a bit glitchy quirky.. the other have more variety and a bit more organic...

I love all their stuff tho hehe

    thanks
  2. I have to say that I am disappointed by Shulman... The first two albums were truly exceptional. We knew that Random Thoughts was not a proper album, that is why I was not that alarmed by the average tracks there. But this is the next album and the days of pioneering electronic downtempo music are long gone... This latest composition has indeed turned way too much to world/ethnic music melodies (whereas the first albums had a subtle influence of world music) and the tracks' arrangement simply doesn't sound fresh anymore, it sounds a bit too familiar (and at times trying a bit too hard to incorporate idm/glitch elements). So the magic is gone. But that, for me isn't the biggest flaw. After all, I have nothing against world music, in fact I enjoy it when I find it to be given in the right mood and attitude. This album, however, is (for my taste) kitsch. Sadly.

eh what chillout album do you recomment? something which actually really chills you.. like cbl or ishq.. :) just wondering
  3. Absolutly agree with anything you mention here. And interesting is, that i made similar steps few years ago. And again, he answered that he is moving to different project (as far as i remember in the project name was the letter porn as well - but not 100%sure). But would be defintly great to persuade him somehow or least know what he is up to these days...

I found his music very unique as well!

I found him finally... you were right, his new artist name is Porn Sword Tobacco

    Porn Sword Tobacco :)

  4. I really really liked "Carriertrack", and his productions with Atmos as Echölab were also of high quality.

According to Discogs he has made mastering for a couple of rock albums lately.

Yes I also read that but there is another henrik jonsson, and its not the one from stress assassin who did that mastering, i think i read that somewhere,.. the guy was busy with some ambient project, i heard that album i forgot its name and label :( it was nothing like stress assassin I want to fid him and talk to him plzzz
  5. Does anyone know what happened to 'Henrik Jonsson' AKA Stress Assassin? The two albums that he released, carrier track and motorcycle boys themes, are two of my favorite and most listened to albums ever. It is such a unique but chill style that he developed but since his last album carriertrack I haven't heard of him except an email that I got from him in which he said stress assassin is dead and that he went on to a different project and he told me the label. :( But that was many years ago and I forgot which label he went to. And I cant find him on discogs or anywhere on Google. Does anyone have any clue where or what he is doing? I want to contact him to try to persuade him to create another album as Stress assassin. Because the style is just so powerful and unique it would be a shame to leave it behind :)

  9. It was definitely useful :D.. It slided me into my sleep without me even noticing :) Today when I woke up b4 going to work I liked it... the mix was on and it started my day with a very calm and chill atmosphere.. thanks for that :P . This mix is so long that I think it would take many days b4 I fully explore the paths it could take me.. I heard a few songs on this mix which I know wasnt from ishq but It still suited the atmoshpere and it was also very nice to hear.. I have the playlist so I think ill manage to find out which songs are wich.. thanks again I will post on this topic again.. in the meanwhile I still hope there could be other great tips as for this thread's main issue.. pardon my english im tired and non english.. Ok cheers everyone good luck in this week with work and stuff.. talk to yaz again :)

  10. Yo Chillseeker!

I was thinking of this thread today & decided to recommend you some music

I made this mix for you. You probably know some of the tracks (the ishq ones) and not everything here is the organic feel you were after, some of it's a bit more melodic, a bit spacey at times but give it a listen & tell me if you like anything on it.

    I got a little carried away though & it's nearly 3 and a half hours long :P

OMg this is amazing, i don't know how to thank you! :) I am about to go to bed I am so tired,.. and today I have to wake up at 4.45 in the morning :( I am gonna put this mix on now and space out to it and then I will play it tomorrow again ;) and I will post again .. btw this album elemental journey I also alreayd have.. I tried to find and get as much from matt hilier as possible.

    thanks again :clapping:

  11. Ok so anymore artists/songs/albums that are similar to ishq kinda chill/ambient style? Databloem seems a good advice.. but which one of them r close to siqh ambient style,.. coz i listened to opium - water colors from that label and that was to cold and dark compared to ishq's calm trickling water angelsynths and sounds style

  13. OK life is nice is definetely one of my fav albums ever,.. every time I listen to it it brings back a good old feeling of chilling in the summer,.. probl this feeling grew on me ever since I first started to listen to it.. the fusion between reggea/dub influences and electronic music.. makes it some kind of special modern/futuristic stance on reggae it can give you the ultimate chill definitely if you get into it like I did..

  14. that;s cool... I was looking for something similar to Ishq's projectas weel and bought the three compilations from them, was blown away by them and now own the entire Databloem catalogue... am saving to buy the Practising Nature ones now :D

    Hey thats nice,

Which one of those series do you think is most closest to ishq's kinda style? Coz i have listened to opium - watercolors and found to be a bit too creepy ambient, stuff youd hear in some secret dark lab underground.. I want to feel like im in some kinda guardens of peace and bliss,.. like the one in your avatar ;)
