  4. i never said it is better, i believe that what you use does not matter. i love cubase cos i used it for the last 7-8 years, but the protools 003 comes with a nice bunch of plugins and converters are great if you wanna record bands.
  5. it is the industry standard cos it is most widely used. most pro studios in the world are pro tools equiped.
  6. you can't go wrong with protools, it is the industry standard and i think the 003 comes with a great bunch of plugins. and if you want to record bands i think that pro tools is the way to go. if you used logic in the past stick with it, i think that you can use logic as a frontend on your pro tools hardware. i am a cubase and a pc user but a mate of mine used pro tools for the last 4 years and i like the audio editing options in pro tools. i would go for a new core 2 duo or a quad core (the faster the better) pc with at least 2 gb of ram and cubase with an rme soundcard and alphatrack controller. as for sound quality the converters in pro tools, rme or motu interfaces are all pro quality, but i think that the drivers on the rme interfaces are a cut above everything on the market.
  7. i must say i haven't tried a huge number of vsti's but many good ones. i don't judge a synth by the presets. i started from scrach and the range of different sounds i could get just from one osc only was amazing. the osc fx are great and the knob movements are smooth. i could not hear any aliaising on the osc or the filters. it is my favorite,...
  8. Oh man i waited long enough for this synth, no more mac only. I am so impressed with this thing, it sounds fantastic. I started diggin deeper and the results are amazing. Zebra 2 Get this thing, and you'll understand. And yes i am drunk but i mean it.
  9. it relaxes me, it makes me happy, i love to design sounds, i love synths (hardware and software) i am just addicted to it,....
  10. it seem's that cubase 4 came out with few bugs, there is a new update that fixes many of them. vst 3 uses only the plugins that have audio running true them, it should save a few cpu cycles. i use sx 3.1 and am very happy with it, and i can't live without some of my direct x plugins, i don't want to use a wrapper in cubase 4. i'll stick with sx 3 for now.

  12. nice to see a great design, and the sound is just phat,..
  13. hi everyone, i am working hard on my new album out of order, you can preview 2 trax from it on my myspace page (trax city cat and evolution). i'll be a progressive psytrance album with few experimental psy breaks trax at the end. comments are very welcome. myspace.com/oliverbmusic due to label interest i could not make the trax downloadable,....sorry i'am a newbie here so here a little something about myself. been producing for 11 years, started with trance, then came psy around 1996. i moved from germany to australia in 1998 and went back to production 6 years ago, cubase sx 3 is my weapon of choice and i use hardware too. you can find more info about me and my previous trax on my website. www.oliverb.co.nr cheers
