hi

so i've started ripping my audio CDs to MP3 for use with Traktor DJ. anyone have experience with this? ideally, i could have a laptop and CD deck that i could carry to parties, and also a CD wallet as backup.

i've been using exact audio copy and the newest lame to rip the MP3s at VBR 192, which has a max rate of 320. so far, the results sound *really* good. i'm just wondering how they'll sound LOUD.

can anyone tell me if MP3 can be encoded well enough to be played out, or should i stick with space-hogging WAV files?

i tried posting this on Isratrance, but it was deleted for some reason??
