I'm very very very dissapointed too. when i've heard bout this compil i thought that if 'dmitri's dat bag' was so great 'raja ram's stash bag' can be much more better. then i saw tracklist and WTF? does TIP need so much money that they release something like that? and that GMS' 'hits'. another money-oriented release. bad bad bad

There is always people who are new to this scene and don't have those tracks... so they might enjoy very much that compilation... and what's wrong making money? you need it if you want to live in this society.

Same thing with the Spaceships of the Imagination ... all good tunes but only if you hadn't been stocking for a while. Better this than a quality label like TIPworld ends up short of money though - psy trance is not a lucrative business compared to other music forms.

[release notes]

For the delight of all those who appreciate succulent, spatial and seminal sounds to bend the mind, twist the ears and wash away all earthly fears, comes this crystalline collection of cosmic compositions … specially formulated to elevate the mind, serenade the senses and raise the vibrations to a super-ascended state of “spiritauralphoria”!!

So TURN ON, TUNE IN and drop right in to Raja’s TIP world, a place of grace, an oasis of ‘beautipful’ sound that begins with the all-seeing, never-ending sparkle of The Infinity Project’s extra-sensory “TELEPATHY”

From here on in we are veritably spoilt with delicious mouth-watering sounds from a distinguished array of super-sonic manipulators. X-Dream’s classic remix of E-Rection’s”OUT HERE WE’RE STONED” is given the double whammy with a fresh tweakage from Raj and Benji Vaughan – alias – Cyberbabas.

Talamasca, Biotonic and Logic Bomb keep things nicely rollin’ along while Alien Project’s “MIDNIGHT SUN” adds a blast to the party fun! 1300 Mikes, GMS and Spacetribe proceed to stomp it up in a true psychedelic vibe and Benji and Raj add further spice with their remix of TIP’s “BINARY NUERONAUT”. Twisting and turning to a climactic finale, Hallucinogen, Shpongle and The Antidote lend their golden touch to this magical blend and it’s left only to Zorba to finish us off with a glorious rush at the beautiful end.

Raja’s Stash Bag is a wonderful, musical melange of timeless tracks that have wrought devastation on the dance floor time and time again and have been enhanced and tweaked for this special presentation. This is Raja’s global peak-time set.

The wickedly wacky artwork on the front cover is a special illustration by Nick Doof, never seen before, which was drawn in the infamous hey-dey of 1994/94 Goa Season at Raja Ram’s house in South Anjuna. The album includes loads of Raja riddles and Ramadiddles of his blurb and doodlings. A collector’s piece without a doubt.
