From the forum posts over at cakewalk forum, the biggest change is in the code itself. It said to be optimized alot better, sometimes increasing performance from 40% to 140% compared to sonar 7 (im not quite sure about those percentages). Someone has allready got their sonar8 box, and he reported that the performance boost is already quite noticable.
