What's Being Over Looked?

I was reading through the review sections and I noticed a lot of people saying "why is this album red lighted???"....

So my question is...which albums in the review section do you think are being overlooked and should be red lighted...maybe if we get some majority vote going we can get those albums red lighted...make sure to "second" a vote if someone has already mentioned one you agree with.

The two most egregiously overlooked albums from last year are:

Mr Peculiar "Elements"

Altom "Hologram"

Both should be red-lighted immediately.

Also, I vote *against* red-lighting Fractal Glider "Parasite"; some parts of some of the songs are good, but the overall product is a bit too amateurish sounding.

Chi- A.D. - Anno Domini (I still wonder to this day why that one never got red-flagged)

Shiva Chandra - Gecko (it's about time Vernunft gets some recognition.... his best album)

Significant Elf Proclivity - Ambivalent Records (the comp. of 2002 in my book)

Emergence - Nano Records

psmile & remember, you're only as high as you think you are

OMG!!!! What the fuck!!!! I just was cruising through the chill out section and saw that Entheogenics album wasn't red lighted...

My vote definetly goes for:

ENTHEOGENIC - Entheogenic

That album kicks serious ass....it defines what chill out is....it's right up there with Shpongle, most def.

I think the whole red-lighting system sucks...

Many albums that are true milestones, genre-defining albums, are not highlighted. People use these constantly (for example on this forum) as reference points for people to compare other music to, and while keeping in mind that not all references are to the best available music, it seems to me that the red-labelled albums do not follow public nor "specialist" opinion.

Also many truly unknown (and some IMHO truly shit) albums are red-labelled.

So in the end, the system makes no sense and I'd prefer not to have it. I guess Children or Mars (no offence) just decide what they think as classics and label those...

Don't pay attention to the red labels is my advice...

Don't the red-label them by the votes the albums get from your favourite votes? It would make sense, but you can only vote for 5 albums / year, so some of the great work don't get enough votes maybe.. you just need to vote more :)

My apologies if I'm wrong
