Review:

Beginning quite softly with Uberreichweite (ambient track), this evolves into

really electronic and quite minimal goa. I'm not really sure this is real goa,

but it sounds similar to Son Kite and other minimalistic groups. (der dritte

raum is one of the groups who started the minimal sound) If you have ever

heard Trommelmaschine on tantrance 3 for instance, then you will know what

this sounds like. The album is put together quite nicely, all the tracks are

mixed into each other, so it seems like it never stops! Highlights here are

the two ambient tracks (track 1 and 12) and also Trommelmaschine and

Slapstick. This album is never full on trance, most of the time it's even

quite peaceful. After this album, der dritte raum changed of style somewhat,

becoming a little more melodic. I give this 7/10. This album is recommended if

you're looking for a bit minimal, but quite peaceful trance.

Its funny, this is how far it has come, people say Der dritte Raum sounds like

Son Kite. I remember when Son Kite first came out, everybody said that sounds

like Der Dritte Raum. Der dritte Raum has been around since 1993 i think and

has always made very technoish and minimal trance, not really goa at all, but

still lots of people into goa liked and still do. Wellenbad is at least for or

five years old and it still sounds young, especially Trommelmaschine, which (

i think) influenced a lot of the new progressive producers, like Son Kite for

example.

Anyway, i really like Wellenbad and anyone into progrewssive would, too

Clean sound. One of the best electronic groups ever. I love their sound. Try

and listen to their other albums. The new album Distanz takes so getting use

too. I dont think this group should be classified as Goa. This Album 10/10.

brillant!

9/10 Of the three full length alubms, this is the most mature. It is segued

extremely well and every track is very well arranged. It belongs in any

electronic dance music lovers library. Definitely not Psytrance/Goa.

Very good work but, IT'S NOT GOA OR PSYCHEDELIC!!! This is a mixture betwen

Technohouse, Progressive House & a litle piece of acid. I don't understand the

reason because the three albums are included in this GOA/PSY TRANCE page (oh

my good WHY?!).

The best track is "Trommelmaschine"

Stunning album ! Der Dritte Raum's second album and it immediately put them in a trance hall of fame. It is mellow and smooth album with unique style and structure only Krueger can make. I like all tarcks but the best ones are : WELLENBAD, RAUPE, ALIENOID, TROMMELMACHINE, GEISTER, NARKOSE, WIND...9/10
