Like some of you know I'm a Tribal-trance lover, but this wasn't good enough

imo... It is too minimal and not tribal enough! For example 8&9 are not tribal

at all!!

Best songs are nr2 because of the tribal, véry groovy rhytm and number 6

because of the use of the didg... i think this is the only REALLY tribal song

on this compilation... Also I wanted to say something about the Yahel-track,

it is véry poor... Sounds completely like Euro-trance!! All together this gets

a 4/10, rather spend your money at Bodh Gaya or Makyo if you like tribal

trance!! Bom Shankar

I also think that it is more minimal than tribal (even it is really ambigious

distinction of sub genre).

If you expect the tribal with full of percussion, many layer of traditional

instroments..(like digeridoo), do not buy this one.

On the other hand, if you like sort of Progressive sounds, it is good to check

out.

3.5/10

Review:

I bought this comp primarily for the Ticon, Sandman, and Quirk tracks which I

listened to at the store and they are imo, the best on this comp. Ticon, as

usual delivers a deep driving tribal

sound with percussion, african (?) vocal splices, synths, and that deep,

slightly twisty, acidic bass sound you can hear in some Drum&Bass all

interwoven - GHE vs. Sandman (split personality?) has an excellent track with

more percussion and very liquid watery synth sounds evolving throughout - I

haven't heard the original Quirk - Tribodelic but the Mumbo Jumbo remix will

get you onto your feet - Element's Akasha I already knew from their album and

I wish they would write some new material as their old stuff keeps showing up

on comps (how about a new track guys?) This comp is apparently sort of a

soundtrack from Barclay (?) Forest party in Israel (I think) - as such it is

sort of mixed - some tracks more than others - some beat matched at the very

end so you still get most of the song and others just faded in as the previous

departs - it makes for a good flow and isn't obtrusive in any way - but really

I would only give this comp a 6/10 - 6,7,8,10 are kind of filler for me - I

like some of the sounds in them but there are cheesy elements that are just

too heavyhanded in their emotions -

nothing you haven't heard before - I'd say listen before you buy

Eyal don't seem to dig what is tribal music. But anyway, this compilation is a

bunch of filling-up tracks. Nothing on that compilation sounds tribal. I could

be fun to hear one day a very percussive goa with chants, and a tribalist

atmosphere. It seem that producters enjoy using the "word" tribal for

something entirely electronic with no tribal elements.

Hello, this is DJ Eyal from HOMmega Productions and i just wanted to say that

"Tribal Dance Experience" is a CD that HOMmega produced for a party under the

same name.

It was a big rave in Israel(10,000 ppl.) and we only collected tracks from the

artists who participated in this event. I can understand the feeling of

misdirection

but i still think most of the tracks use tribal elements

(except maybe the Domestic/Astrix and Maskalin tracks).

It's not tribal music but the name of the CD was a must!

I can only add that i am very proud of this CD and we get a lot of good

feedback on it.
