Review:

A very good debut Compilation from the german label Plastik Park. It starts

out with Kilophil aka XV Kilist&Phillip who deliver a straight forward

stomper for the dancefloor. No.2 "Diving in the desert" is one of the

highlights of this Lp, typical Iboga style, dark gloomy yet "funky" at the

same time. No.3 also is a killer, it sounds like Atmos with a thumping

german style beat. No.4 is average, but No.5 Charismatix makes that all up

with a really well produced track and cool sounds that will send a tickle

down your spine, especially on a good stereo system or good headphones. No.6

is also rather boring, I prefer Bitmonx & Eargear's solo stuff. Bigwigs as

usual melts my braimatter with one of the craziest tracks I have heard in a

while. Bigwigs should be given an award for coming up with the craziest

sounds and basslines. No.8 is average again, but No.9 Projectile is

Magnetrixx best track so far, especially the first 3-4 minutes. All in all

there are 3 average tracks (4,6,8) and the rest ranges from good to

excellent. Definitely worth buying, especially if you wanna get to know some

of the best young artists that are coming up these days. 8,5/10

Attention Vynil buyers: You can buy this compilation also on 2 double Ep's,

but on Ep 1 the quality of side C which has two tracks on it is horrible.

Get the Cd, those two tracks are almost unplayable on Vinyl.

A compilation filled with dark, minimalistic, weird and groovy songs. Starts

off with Kilophil and they deliver a track in the style of XV Kilist (not

strange since Kilian is in this group) and it's good. Next up phoney orphants

with a dark and funky track. Bitmonx follow and bring an indeed noisy song

with a great groove. Sonic Freakuency is among the weirder tracks, but this

one is really good! Song 5 and 6 are what you would expect. Dark and hard.

Bigwigs is weirder and is pretty cool too. Last two tracks are really

minimalistic and dark. Especially Magnetrix kicks ass bigtime!! Overall, this

comp is really good. You have to be in the minimalistic style though,

otherwise you won't dig the vibes in these songs. To me, 8,5/10 for this one.

And that's a good score right? It seems like this sort of trance really does

it for me..!!

It's a very c00l compilation ... but there is an error in tune 5 that my friend

noticed when listening to it... listen between 2.07 and 2.11 in the tune ..

there is a small "bump" .. or bass sound that bumps and gives the beat a

hundred-of-a-second error ..

My favorite is Bigwigs - Vibra Fon .. (get Tromesa's new album!!!) ..

This CD is the best CD I've bought in a long time! Bitmonx vs. Eargear's track

is the best work I have heard out of both these artists, they've found a

balance that they also need to find on their own in my opinion. I listen to

that track a fair bit. track five, "it's just insane" I was imitating, much to

everyones distaste

that opening riff for about a week. Antix rocks as well, it gives everyone from

this side of the globe hope to kniow we can do it on a global scale and hold

up well. Bigwigs also rock, Park Avenue isn't a s good as this CD i hope the

3rd one grows on the feeling of this compil8n.

subtle minimalism .. phoney orphants and bigwigs are standouts , the rest is

good too ... I really like this stuff , but now that Plastik Park decided to

stop releasing for a while ... it's hard to satisfy my addiction completely .

the compilation gets a solid 9/10 just to mention I love PP/Sunset recordings

... psy bye
