Out Side Review: Second album from Vick Shefi in just a few months. His first release Magic Vision under the name Cyber Cartel is excellent, and this is more of the same groovy full-on sound. Track 1 (Lift Off) is even nearly identical to track 5 (Smoke It) on Magic Vision. Read the reviews of that album to find out how this sounds in more detail. Also just like with Magic Vision, there are a few killers and plenty of fillers here. Track 7 has the extra ingredients that some of the others lack, and stands out as the best track. If a few more tracks had been of this quality, this would have been a must-have. Still a very good release, but I want to see how this guy can develop his sound further! I might also mention the unlisted and unnamed bonus track #10 which is purely experimental. I don't care much for it personally, but of course there's nothing wrong with trying something new. Jalliuz Posted February 6, 2003 Share Posted February 6, 2003 It's a good cd but JUST LIKE cyber cartel... some songs have lots of identical samples in it. the first time i listened to it i just thought it was a "cyber cartel remix" cd. It's totally not bad sound or quality, i would say rather good but cmon, where's the refreshing sound. It's like making money twice from one CD. Loose from what i have allready heard i would give this 8/10 But when i think of all the 'been there done that' shit i would only give it 6/10 Sorry, psypeople are hard...
