Artist: Various

Title: The Mystery Of The Yeti 2

Label: TIP World

Date: 1999

Track listing:

01. 16'45" Process : Under Mount Kailash

02. 14'37" Hallucinogen : The Herb Garden

03. 15'21" Total Eclipse : Freefalling Upwards

04. 13'26" Doof : High On Mount Kailash

Review:

The Ambient journey continues with good results again. Hallucinogen and Total

Eclipse moments work better than the minimal Doof visions (as always). The

Process part sound to much like music from a soundtrack. 7.5/10

This is absolutely stunning. I lack the words to describe this CD. So beautiful

it hurts. I must say, that the track by Process is not bad at all. It's such

an intelligent, subtle, floaty, dreamy And psychedelic journey. I will not try

to describe the other tracks. Words wont do them justice! just get it NOW!!!

So long awaited Yeti Part 2 will remain a mssterpiece for many years... As

first part it is a combination of ethnical theme and the latest technologies.

It is more melodic, I don't want to say commercial, but I continue to consider

Yeti Part I the best work of colaboration of Simon Posford, TIP And Total

Eclipse. Doof on the 2nd part hasn't impressed me very much. The first part

was much more deeper, shamanic... I remember one my Dr.Hoffmann experience in

the wood, near the fireplace, on the swamp when I felt all majik and wisdom of

the universe around us... And the sky was so deep and blue...

OooooOOOh very good masterpiece...:)

The Hallucinogen track is soooo good!!! Even better than Shpongle project. The

Total Eclipse is great too, And also the Doof.

But the best is for sure Process!! The track is so weird..seems boring but

suddenly you understand it..an incredible sensation!!!

9/10

PROCESS is totally brillant on this compilation. Really slow grooves with a

great flute and guitar final...A masterpiece in-self. The comes the great Herb

Garden from the new "hallucinogen-to-Shpongle" transitionning posford. A great

work, a nice psychedelic atmosphere that you could feel when your very far on

mushrooms. Voices and screams in the background, with tribal beats. Total

Eclipse track is okay, but nothing to see with the 2 first. And doof is a

little bit disapointing like always, so i give a 10/10 for the 2 superbs

tracks and 6/10 for the 2 seconds. 8/10 for the compilation (after long

calculus)

Allow me to give a second review of this: I must say that after some time, this

minimal Doof track actually appeals to me! It's very atmospherical in it's own

weird way! The ending with the chants is sooo beautiful!!! The I must agree

with the others, the Process track is one of the most subtle and beautiful

tracks ever made... The only track which isn't that great is the one by Total

Eclipse. But still not bad! Plur - Psylent Buddhi

All tracks are beautiful trips through an ambient atmosphere, full of yetis and

shamans... ;) Process opens up with a soft and original tune. Perfect drum

loops and the melody in the end, with acoustic guitars and Raja Ram playing

the flute, is sooo soothing. "The Herb Garden" by Simon Posford sounds exactly

like the Shpongle album, which is good... It's the best track here. The Total

Eclipse track is also nice. I didn't like their ambient style in the "Violent

Relaxation" album, but this is different. The metallic percussion in Doof's

"High On Mount Kailash" is kind of cool, although the track is a bit too

minimalistic in the beginning. If you enjoyed the Shpongle album, then you're

going to worship this one... Raja Ram's flutes work well as always. Now I'd

really like to lay my hands on "The Mystery Of The Yeti Part 1"...

This one is "just" as good as Mystery Of The Yeti 1, cause Tracks 1&4 aren't

awesome compared to Mystery 1 Tracks 1&4 ... but Track 3 is GREAT, and Track 2

is THE BEST ambient Track I've ever heard till then !!! Track 3 is more

psychedelic ambient (but still peaceful ambient), with very nice melodies and

effects (some female vocals too) ... the best Total Eclipse ambient Track for

sure ... Track 2 has some good vocals (some of them are very twisted ;-))

particularly during the intro, then the last half of the Track has a very good

flute melody ... awesome stuff, even better than Shpongle Tracks ! You have to

hear it to understand its magic :-) Rating : 8.5/10

G-R-E-A-T!!!!! I finally could find this CD and I can say it will stay in my CD

collection for a long time!!! Hallucinogen (aka Simon Posford aka Shpongle

without Raja Ram, although there IS a flute in the track...) is the best song.

The voices in the first part are wondrefull: "You ever heard of the Yeti the

aboninaninaninable snowman? That is of course not an animal, not a pre-human

being, that is originally one of the shaman's Gods..." Excellent!!! 9/10

My opinion izzz that number 1 and 4 are the best tracks on this CD.

Hallucinogens track sounds like everything else he creates right now.. (with

some exceptions.. (celtic cross and "e")). The Total Eclipse track in the most

not awesome ;). All tracks on this CD rox, so if you find it, BUY IT!!! 9/10

(1&4 are 10/10)

I wish I could get the 1st one because this CD ROX!!!

I think the Doof track is a letdown on the journey, especially after

freefalling upwards, I can't wait to get 12 & more eagerly, the Crystal

Skulls. I Love Stories & Journeys

track three is a great example of grooving trance and four I like very much

bucause it is very minimal and ambient. the first two are pretty good too.

however, a friend managed to copy me MOTY I(which I am eternally grateful

because I know it is impossible to find) which is much better, especially

tracks 2 and 3 which meld together are kind of trancy but extremely well

produced.

"You have heard of the Yeti..?" :-) The herb garden is one of the best

Hallucinogen tracks I have heard, and is my favourite track on this album. The

other three tracks are great too. Together with Raja Ram's flute they make

this composition a wonderful psychedelic trip, listening from beginning to

end. Lovely and mystical experiences. :-) 9/10

HALLUCINOGEN TRACK is a masterpiece!! I can't stop listening to it.

Fantastic..the tablas and the flutes just do it for me! And it has this

beautiful beat that runs through the track. Total eclipse track is also very

good. Herb Garden is as good as any Shpongle release, if not better! 9/10
