Perhaps it's the fact that no lyrics means no language barrier; or that fans of the genre also tend to travel the globe extensively. In the case of Mino Vaknin, we have an Israeli who has spent the last 15-odd years in Denmark. No surprise then, is his ability to combine what's great about both regional contributions to psy-trance. The chugging, almost locomotive-like basslines of the Danish sound intertwine gracefully with the hypnotizing medlodies made famous in Israel. As a longtime drummer, Mino also produces some challenging percussion sounds not often found among his contemporaries.Standouts include "2000 Compatible" with its eerie, haunting groove -- picture a lone wolf howling at a frosty full-moon. "Metallic Universe" is another stormer with a repetitious (and entirely pleasing) tone -- ever tell a story with such passion that you could hardly keep the words from coming out? "Happy People" offers, for me, the most memorable riff on the album. Is it guitar, is it synth? Who cares, it'll knock the teeth right out of your jaw! My favorite tracks : 2000 Compatible , Boomskey ,2000 Compatible (Rmx) ,Space Opera and Happy People ! But this album is awesome. Makes me wanna dance all night long.. I listened to this album in the car on the way to a party. I had very hard time sitting still . I wanna hear more from Mino!
