Review:

Tim Schuldt is the king of dark psytrance in my opinion and you can

allways expect good music when he´s involved. It doesn´t matter if he´s

solo or together with Detlef Funder, Joti Sidhu, Dino Psaras or some

other artists, you can count on that the music will be really

impressive. No one else can turn an old track into something completely

new as Tim can so I allways keep looking for his remixes too. This ep is

somewhat different to what we are used to though. It´s much softer and

more laidback than usual, atleast "Lucy (Male)" (9/10). Ha ha! Don´t get

me wrong now! "Lucy" is perhaps not that insanely energetic as some of

Tims and Detlefs previous work but it still kicks some serious butt! The

beginning of the track is in the same semiviolent spirit as usual but

then there´s this quite long mellow and sad break which slows everything

down. It appears twice in the track, and it´s very melodic and beautiful

so that softens the atmosphere pretty much. "Lucy (Male)" can also be

found on the compilation "Catcher" from Aurinko. "Bunker" (7/10) is made

in collaboration with Dino Psaras and that´s something you can hear

pretty clearly. Tim/4CN are experts on adding melodies to their music

without making it cheesy but this track has no melody at all. It´s just

a raw beat with loads of energy and an industrial touch. My guess is

that Dino did most of the work or perhaps Detlef Funder? Detlefs

"Sextant" from the Atomicrelease "Behind The Scenes" is somewhat similar

even though that´s a much better track! "Bunker" can also be found on

the Japaneese 2CD-edition of "Catcher". The big question now is when do

we get to hear the new album? I just can´t wait!
