Review:

well, this was one of my surprise buys of 99. i thoroughly enjoyed this. it

sounds "samey" after a while (sounds and beats), but it's a small price to

pay. and i don't know why, but this is different from most comps. it is

mixed, which makes for full-on party mood, and it gets explosive!!! disc one

is 7/10 for me, and disc two is 9/10 - i just really love this stuff. song 1

of disc 2 - just blows me away - it's stunning - i can't explain, but fuck,

it rocks!! i still listen to it now n then, and love it. let me try and

explain this compilation with these words - plasticky, vibrating,

oscillating, storming, driving, bouncing, swirling, and squelching. that's

the best i can do. i would recommend it too. try www.cdnow.com. cool shmangled

vibes  !-] -

Is it just me, or is Hypnotic just not all that? I don't know, it sounds a bit

stale and too thin for me. The first CD I'm not so fond of...the second CD is

pretty good. It starts getting good around track 4. If you don't like your

trance tracks cut and mixed, then don't even bother buying this. "Goaway",

which I think is the best track on the comp is cut into less than half. If

the CD is mixed, then I usually like dramatic twists and turns, but this CD

pretty much remains the same intensity throughout. Overall, I'd give it 5/10.

I personaly think Hypnotic should try harder.
