Wriiten & Produced by Denis Matenda, mastering by Marcus Henriksson & Sebastian Mullaert.

Denis Matenda posseses a rare power, the one of make you believe that you’re always spending your time through sunny, trippy & floating hollidays whereas you’re only listening to his chill productions & the weather is indeed, probably tourmented.

Otherwise this album is more chill-trancey & morning coloured than Mediteran (his 2nd chill album on his own label Global Phonehead rec), which is more latin, sunny + domntempo-lounge oriented.

Matenda „Chilling Matenda

(Chillcode Music) CD

Matenda has already called attention a time ago through his impulsive and spacefilling sound. Now its time for enlightenment and the munich label chillcode recognize´s that, snap at the chance and releases the masterpiece of the swedish artist. Indeed he produces the softest, sweetest ambient of electronic art with dub influences, wonderful to listen to and to enjoy. Stimulating the mind on the mellow way when we lean back and let us fall into the waves of the relaxed groove and forgot the busy world nearly 80 minutes long, to came back like a newborn man, repatriated to the light of the day and come back refreshed to everyday life.

Lovely rolling chilled scando sounds. We love it!!!! There is soooo much good chillout at the moment it is hard to find the superlatives, but this stands out in a crowd of excellence.

Got the CD a while ago from the guys at Chillcode, and it has bought a place of honor in my case... Matenda has created in this album a kind of hybrid, something not quite ambient yet not completely trance. some of the tracks are pure ambient, relaxing and flowing with delicate precussion-and pad-work, while some are based on very slow 4x4 kicks (probably not faster than 125BPM) with obvious psy-trance influences. The sound production is excelent, and any chillout lover should get his hands on this one!
