Some said it in interviews and it seems quite logical, but of course all the time spent to learn softwares and synths is not taken into account. For example filming 2 hours of Santa Barbara takes one day, and filming of 2001: A Space Odyssey took 4 years... It's similar with music I think... But, if they need for example a week for a track, it doesn't mean they'll make an entire album in 2 months... They must have some real inspiration to start making a good track, and inspiration comes by itself, you can't influence much on that!
