Boss du label Digital Structures, éminent membre du label Iboga Records, Yuli Fershtat de son vrai nom est un pilier de la scène Psy depuis maintenant plus de dix ans, et c'est son premier passage dans l'Est de la France ! Nous poursuivons également notre CONSORTIUM artistico-graphique. Initié avec Kero, célèbre artiste italienne travaillant notamment pour Life and Death ou pour la Fabric à Londres, nous poursuivons avec Staffan Larsson, designer entre autres du label Drumcode. This time we are dealing mostly with laid back tunes, more atmospheric compositions, hiding inside them a high artistic & emotional value. Opening the compilation is a new recruit of ours, Child, coming from down under unleashing a stripped down and extremely groovy take on A. Balter & Eitan Reiter’s ‘Komodo Dragon’. This track just develops forever, not a dull moment there. Second appearance of South African Danalog, is next with ‘Ol’ Paapsh’ that seems to be a song you want to sing along with after you listen to it only once… And then the breakdown takes you to another level. Simon Baring from UK is our next fresh guest on DS, with a tune aptly named ‘Snowmachine’. It’s a laid back composition based on joyful arpeggio’s backed up by warm and driving groove section. Israeli Stav Beger continues the easy going momentum with his ‘In The Swamp’ track that effortlessly takes you into an emotional & positive bubbly break, with a pinch of psy, truly a “sunbeams anthem” it is. Another guest from the UK is Hedflux, that remixes Perfect Stranger’s ‘Slope’ track in his signature Breaks style. Previously released Peter Horrevorts remix of A. Balter & Eitan Reiter - Komodo Dragon Release note Digital Structures makes its fashionably late entry into 2012 with “At The Crossroads Vol.1” - first installment of series of mini compilations planned for this year. Gabi 2B is a new name on the block, having 2 successful tracks released under 1605 and Iboga Records, brings in his third, equipped with moody melodic hook and a BIG break - it’s a winner!! The Swiss alchemist Martin Knecht ( Human Element ) with his progressive psy crossover rollercoaster ‘Chain Reaction’, introduces a very useful weapon especially for the outdoor season that is about to come. Another newcomer to DS is Diamandy, that presents here a dark and minimalist number ‘Believe System’, with effective voice samples throughout and a powerful riff climaxing in the breakdown. Next in line is Roy RosenfelD, Israeli Electro wunderkind, that remixes Perfect Stranger’s ‘Slope’ and creates a groovy and kicking, haunted electro-progressive mashup… Israeli Shahar Melamed ( Indepth ) is closing the ‘unreleased’ part of this mini compilation, with groovy and playful Techno number ‘Parabola’ that smoothly develops into a seducing melodic crescendo. Koen Groeneveld’s signature remix of A. Balter’s track ‘Beans’ is nhext, no nonsense here as usual with Koen’s productions, and the same usual suspect Balter makes his second appearance, this time with his mate Eitan Reiter, signing off this chapter of “At The Crossroads” with their smoothest creation so far - ‘Komodo Dragon’.
