  1. A)Its still early for such a post since many many important cds are coming out in the next 50 days of the month like the new compilation from Nano,Neurobiotic,Alchemy and Exposure and some great albums like the Element one on Avatar for example.

B)I guess you also have to wait for the more 'official' poll on Isratrance that i host every year :)

  2. Those that cant understand psychedelic music without drugs are just low spiritual people and weak characters (i said the same in isratrance on a topic somewhere about this very same subject).

Like Cinos said everything is in our mind and we just need to explore our self and meditate in order to experience a psy trance state.

Others can do it on their own and others need some 'extra help' in order to make it.

For me the ultimate psy trance experience is understanding the music with no drugs at all,its a great feeling indeed.

  3. Some people have obviously confused the word emotional with the term cheesy,i cant otherwise explain the existance of tunes by the likes of Talamasca and Astrix in this 'emotional list'.Even Protoculture if you ask me is more on the full on with a bit of cheese side of things rather on the emotional one.Ofcourse i cant blame people for their choices since emotional music is a very very rare thing in psy trance scene.

FP very correctly mentioned Cosma as one of the leading artists in this emotional music genre, especially his first album Simplicity that was full of deep emotions.

Now for the rest of you that want to understand the difference between cheesy and emotional you can take some tracks already mentioned and compare them with some other tunes.

For example take Talamasca-Time Stimulation that somebody mentioned and compare it with Space Cat-Deep Rising. You will see that Cedric's melody is catchy and cheesy while Avi has produced a majestic melody and built up that can bring tears to the listeners eyes.

Also try to compare Astrix-Chaos that is a typical full on example with Future Prophecy-Indra Remix. Can you spot the difference between the melodies?Ofcourse you can ;)

Another group that had great emotional melodies was Power Source, anyone remembers the massive hits Goaway and Skywalker?

Anyway seems that our days people dont like anymore emotional music thats why its so hard and rare to find some emotional tunes.

    Ready to get Exposed?

  5. Overdose i said MOSTLY and not ONLY,sometimes words are there for a reason you know and its not nice to ignore them or change their meaning :)

Now about Paul Van Dyk who has my utmost respect and i consider him as a great dj and producer.

In his massive album Out There And Back some people were involved in many of the double album tracks but are not credited for it (but rather mentioned in the thanks section),Starecase and BT are two of them just for your information.

BT to be honest is the guy responsible for half the tracks released at that period by the big trance names but he chose to keep a more underground profile for some reason ;)

  6. Its true that Tiesto,Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk music is mostly produced by other people (those funny little guys with glasses that work all day in a studio hehe) due to the heavy scheudle of these very famous artists but they also are involved in most of these studio sessions and guide the producers in what they need or what needs to be fixed in an already produced track. In any case just grab an original cd and you will see in the credits that on each track 3-4 people are usually mentioned.

Nobody doubts though that Tiesto and the likes are capable of producing good music because thats what made them famous in the first place and thats where they begun from :)

  7. I enjoy quite a lot most of the compilations by Tiesto,Paul Van Dyk,Armin Van Buren and the likes, some tracks are very cheesy yes but there are some diamonds too in these cds with great production and amazing ideas.

My favorite though has to be Paul Oakenfold who has moved to another level by remixing tracks by Madonna,Bjork and more. His remix on Pagan Poetry by Bjork is a massive track.

In any case this gang of superstar djs is preety good if you ask me and shows another aspect of trance which is more easy listening and more welcome by the majority of people.

And last but not least at least these people have great production unlike 90% of psy trance releases.

  8. Label X releases a Compilation.

Internet Shop A asks to receive the cd before Internet Shop B.Label X for one reason or another aggrees.

Internet Shop B gets frustrated and decides to not give cds that it exclusively distributes to Internet Shop A.

Internet Shop A gets frustrated and asks from Label X to never send cd to Internet Shop B.

    Stories like that you know.
