  3. Believe it or not, but the first CDs i bought (back when i was 10 years old) were some Thunderdome hardcore compilations.

Haha, me too actually, back in 93 and 94, when I was really young, and it was fun. But I've overcome that music very soon, cause it is repetitive, at some stages boring, uninspiring and leads you nowhere. But it was a lot of fun when I was younger. I can't understand mature people making a religion out of it and even dressing peculiar for its happenings. I believe that you do need hell of a lot of drugs to get through the whole trip at the party, but it does nothing for me nowadays and can't even imagine myself doing drugs for that madness. :D

  4. Am I the only one who thinks the tracks are not *THAT* good? Of course they are good, but I think the best ones are released and these ones are good, but nothing more...? Maybe too maximal for me...?

Of course they are maximal when there are 6 guys involved, plus whole concept Of Pleiadians/Crop Circles music was absolutely maximal.

The thing is THE TASTE, and as u are entitled to your own opinion, you don't find them so exciting which is reasonable. I find it very exciting releasing this album and music after 10 years of spending in ether, so no matter cause they have released their best tracks already, this is still good call to resurrect brilliant old school psychedelia and give them new special mastering touch, ouch. :D

  5. MICROGRAVITY ( 1991 ) Geir's first album and it sounds like early trance, not such crisp production but quality album and music anyways.

PATASHNIK ( 1994 ) He slowed it down compared to Microgravity, but still remained trippy and atmospheric. Another quality album.

SUBSTRATA ( 1997 ) Pure ambient, no trance, only soundscapes and atmospheres. Really nice and varied trips.

INSOMNIA ( 1997 ) The soundtrack for a film, but so brilliant. Experimental, weird ambiental work, very filmic.

CIRQUE ( 2000 ) Now this is diverse one. Ambient, funk, dub, breakbeat. Blended together into interesting concept.

  6. Hah, crazy converse... As a moderator, I actually didn't even know frozen dream was banned, how did that happen ? Beside his usual nonsense posts, has he insulted or bashed anyone ? I can't believe that random nonsense is punished. For me, even nonsense has some sense, and cannot be dissmissed, no matter how crazy or idiotic may sound. It MADE sense in poster's brain at the moment he was posting. For me, nonsense is not a valid ban. Can someone explain what he did, beside speaking in tongues ? Nemo ?

  7. Thanks to all! Xpandoz thanks for commenting the samples.. i was starting to wonder if anyone listened or liked them at all :)

soon there will be samples on psyshop and saikosounds too (which are gonna be longer ehe)

i am VERY happy of the remastering job that Tim Schuldt did: loads and loads of elements emerged on the tracks and they sound really crsip and fantastic in my opinion, i didn't imagine such a facelift :)

    hooray!

I didn't want to add anything else except finally, that is why I haven't commented on the samples.

But they do sound crisp and top notch. Tim Schuldt mastering is always brilliant.

I can hardly wait to get my hands on this. When is it going to be released finally ? :D

  8. You said it all Ormion, no need to get further into detail.

My vote goes to MUSIC FOR THE JILTED GENERATION as their best album, followed with FAT OF THE LAND and then EXPERIENCE.

ALWAYS OUTNUMBERED, NEVER OUTGUNNED actually sounds good when they are doing live, but listening to it at home makes me yawn. I've heard them live 3 times by now and they still didn't get old. The only problem I have with Prodigy is that they are not as productive as other groups from their era : UNDERWORLD, CHEMICAL BROTHERS, FLUKE... With 4 albums up their sleeves and various singles during 17 years is not such various production.

So, finally long awaited album. Very high expectations. And so, they pleased high expectations. But there is something missing. Melodies ?

Ugh, yeah. But even without those melodies, this is one very delicious dark album. This album is pretty dark and very primal. Such variety of styles, subversive approach, and not an easy listening.

This album is not a crowd pleaser, it rather confronts you with your fears and miscalculations. It is unpredictable and diabolic. It sets you on a very private journey. Not at all clubbing music. Introspective home listening bomb. Especially with good headphones. This album is full of sounds, various glitches, noises, it is on borderline between IDM, breakbeat, electro and minimal techno. Very subversive approach as I have already mentioned. Sounds rather post apocalyptic, cyber melancholic.

Maybe it is not as engaging on the first listen, but on the second one it started growing on me. You can clearly hear strong Midi Miliz influences on this one, cause Extrawelt haven't been this dark before. They've decided to change the course, wheter it's better or for worse, they still managed to pull it, those guys are surely experienced sound designers. I don't need to mention that production is impeccable and their sonic manipulations are very satisfying.

All in all, very good album, with Minilogue - Animals, my favourite album from this year for sure. This new minimalistic style trance producers approached is much more engaging than any of the new trance releases. This album might become a bomb, we will see, its underground feel may even make it unoticeable, but for sure it will stay very long in every listeners mind. 9/10

  10. 9 Seraphim (7:30)

    9. Seraphim

This certainly has an angelic feel to it as it's sounds soar above what we have previously witnessed in this journey. Still we are in space but it seems like the sounds are entering a higher dimension. A dimension of light and sound unlike anything we are used to. Much higher pitched and not all together pleasant. The light sounds for me are too light and the pitch is too high in a way that verges on annoying. It's not that annoying for long though and gets better towards the end but still it's not one for high volume on good speakers or headphones. Especially not headphones.
