  1. I really(like REALLY) like some (industrial?)techno and psytech but I can't find any. I'm looking for stuff that is harder than most minimal techno but still minimal and very detailed. Examples include: Everything from G+ and Archae & Grovskopa(so yeah It's really not much  )

    Thanks.

  2. So... I'm currently using Ableton Live and it's missing a few things I would need. I'm looking for a program that allows you to use irregular time signatures and change between them through the song(like making a part in 5/4 and a part in 13/8 without having to insert some empty space to match the bars again) and that allows you to use different divisions of 1/8 notes (like triplets but with five divisions for example). I know FL has that but you have to write the whole song in one setting. And thanks for your help ;)

  3. I recently bought me a Yamaha DX7IID and a soundcard with midi ports. I connected the DX to my PC and the problem is that it only works as a midi controller (I'm using Ableton Live) but when I sequence it, there is no sound on the PC and I can only hear it if I plug my phones into the synth. I was wondering if I need another cable to connect the synth's output with my computer. Btw I tried searching the page and a few DX7 pages and I didn't find any info so sorry if it was asked before.

HUGE thanks for the help :)

  4. I kindof like the thing and its really good for a first song. I think you shouldn't be trying to make psytrance but you should develop your own style(psychedelic rpg music or something) and work on making something really unique :)

Oh and try to learn how to make your own sounds if you use presets(just see how they are made or somethig).

    Just my two cents.

  5. Well sorry for opening another thread but I just don't want to buy the wrong thing so here is the question:

Should I buy me a ROLAND JV-1080 for 300€ (all the reviews make it seem a bit too good and I would like to know what its bad sides are) or maybe a Yamaha cs1x for 292€ or maybe should I wait to find a good offer on a virus or something like that?

I need a synth that is good for experimental sounds, complex drones and some percussion(and other stuff too but these are the most important). These two synths seem like the best buys(from the local online flee market) for the amount of money I have(400€ or less).

So... can someone tell me what their good and bad sides are? Oh and btw I'd like to know if the JV-1080's knobs are automatable through midi.

Big thanks for the answers

edit: btw I also found a yamaha cs2x for 396€
