Do yourself a favor and buy Entheogenic. There are several reasons. One being that they are far more interesting and trippy than Shulman and Bluetech can ever be.
I for one found bluetech rather boring after listening to it for some time. It just sounds too much mainstream for me.
As for shulman: Well he is a pretty interesting artist and some of his tracks are very good. But if i had to choose between him and Entheogenic, i would have to go with the latter.
Entheogenic is absolutely fantastic due to the fact that their second album "spontaneous illuminations" is an original and masterfully produced ambient experience. I enjoy almost every track from Entheogenic that i've heard.
So buy the cd's... then close your twilight eyes... exhale.... become mindless with ground luminosity as you listen to the habitual overtones while flying across invisible landscapes... and let the pagan dream machine make you absolutely spaced....
You won't regret it

I've never heard of a hallucinogen track of this name before. And there are no records of it on psydb.net or his official site. Are you sure that this is a hallucinogen track?
Anyway. True goa is:
ASTRAL PROJECTION - MAHADEVA
OFORIA - UPLIFTER
PIGS IN SPACE - INVISIBLE CONTACT
HALLUCINOGEN - THUGS IN TYE-DYE
INFERNAL MACHINE - THE LOIN KING (MAN WITH NO NAME REMIX)
INFERNAL MACHINE - THE NOCTURNAL CHAINSAW KERFUFFLE
PSYKOV - MEGALITHIC
SPACECAT FT. HALLUCINOGEN - INVASION

Just found this... http://www.avalidpath.com
There is a sample from a track Simon did with Alan Parsons (+ Guitars by David Gilmour from Pink Floyd) ....the track sounds pretty much like Shpongle... quite interesting collaboration.
Actually it is Shpongle They are featured on the "Valid Path" cd on the track "Return to Tunguska". Now if only there was some way to get this cd

-Saafi brothers - Mystic cigarettes from 1997. This cd is ESSENTIAL to every collection because of "Together in silence", "On air", and, in no small measure: the phenomenal "2046".
- Hallucinogen - The lone deranger from 1998 (goes without saying)
- V/A - Dementertainment. This is a MUST-HAVE CD to every goa-lover. Especially those who enjoyed the late-nineties goa when the genre was at its peak. Psykov - Megalithic and Infernal machine's Nocturnal chainsaw kerfuffle are MASTERFUL.
-Pigs in Space - The artificial Pig Agency (1998). Get this cd and cherish it because the sounds concocted by Ofer Dikovski on this cd are UNIQUE in a VERY good way.
-The Infinity Project - Mystical experiences from 1995. This cd offers some of the best ambient EVER made. This should be in every ambient-lover's collection since some of the best tracks were co-written by Simon Posford.
- Shpongle - Are you shpongled? Again - goes without saying. I don't care what anyone says. This album is the PARAGON of what ambient/chillout is all about.
- V/A - Eclipse. Get this album. It has some rare and wonderful tracks. Every track on this cd is exceptionally well-produced. Walter ego - Dubstuff/Purple pygmies, Nomads of Dub - Spirals in particular. May Simon and Doof soon begin on another project together. I sincerely hope so.
-The crystal skulls-cd's from TIP.world. These cd's offer some of the greatest psytrance ever made.
-V/A - Twelve. A collection of stunningly beautiful, non-beat ambient. This album is excellent.
Ott - Blumenkraft. This is dub at it's best. Smoked glass and chrome is one of the most beautiful songs in the world.
-And of course: the Yeti-cd's from TIP.world. This is ambient which no-one should be without.

Hey banjankri, the opening title from THE SHINING is great ! I can't believe you mention it ! I found the whole thing to be ultimately creepy. Did you know that Kubrick used Bela Bartok music for this, and at some stages later in the film he also used Shostakovich... Creepy title theme from the chopper and that sick, subverisve music...
I was not aware of that, Seraph. But thanks for the insight. I know it's off-topic but it deserves the credit.
All i knew is that this opening title always make me huddle in fear and cry out for momma

Oooh. Favorite scary tracks. Good one. Here are a selection of those tracks that has made me the twisted, deranged, skizoeffective and utterly unsane beyond sanity and yet NOT insane individual that i am today:
The Shining - Opening theme
and now for the electric ones:
Hujaboy - Shaba Rain
The Delta - Pop
Psychonaut - Spiritwalker
Quake soundtrack by Trent Reznor - Castle of the damned
Quake soundtrack by Trent Reznor - Underneath

Hey psy-lovers.
Justed wanted to share my excitement.
Today i finally got my Dementertainment cd that i purchased from twisted records and i gotta say: this cd is grrrrrrrEAT!
Psykov - Megalithic and Hallucinogen - Spiritual anitiseptic are some of the greatest tracks i've ever heard. My only wish is that late-nineties goa-trance could be revived
The sad thing is, the minute i opened the cd this morning, a raging hurricane hit Denmark. This cd is clearly evil and should NOT be played out loud! be warned!!
-
Banjankri, make your own poll next time, you will see how it's hard to put or remember everything in a single list
Moreover knowing that I don't know all the artists from all over the world and that I am not a psy historian!
You have the choice between 36 artists (the poll with the biggest choice), and though you are not happy?
allright. easy there, lad, i meant no offense
I only suggested these other brilliant artists as a friendly suggestion. Sorry if i sounded rude. Didnt mean to
I DO know how hard it can be to remember all artists. Hell, with so many of them out there, i too would probably have omitted someone.
Peace, love and all

I gotta go with the doctor on this one. Ott, healer and Doof should be on the list. I also think you've forgot to put Nomads of Dub on the list (Simon's earlier collaboration with Doof). Spirals - the only track they made in 1998 - was truly beautiful
Another one worth mentioning is Dub Trees (Simon, youth and the Orb)

i'm looking for the ancient and holy tip.world compilation "beyond colour" from 1998. This cd contains Hallucinogen's awesome "magik". But i cant seem to find it anywhere.
Can someone tell me where i might buy this cd or if anyone has it for sale i would be very pleased.
I live in copenhagen, denmark. Max price: 24 euro. Preferably in good condition.
please email suggestions/offers to illuin@hotmail.com

try these :
oforia - uplifter
blowfish - liquid eyes
Lemurians - Nautic
These tracks offer a very angry beat and an INSANE bass
-
Well i haven't heard much of logic bomb's works, but i must say that "third revelation" on the "mystery of the 13 crystal skulls" cd was some of the most awesome psytrance i've EVER heard.
--- "Music is more than mathematics. And I am much more than a program with musical subroutines!! Inside this room, all my dreams become reality!"
"Datalinks" is also pretty good
-
to me, the coolest titles are those that seem to toy with your mind in a weird way. and even better if it sounds extremely cool
the infinity project - when sound becomes colour (and sometimes they do )
shpongle - and the day turned to night
shpongle - shpongleeyes
shpongle - Periscopes of Consciousness
shpongle - Schnitzl'd in the Negev (now i HATE when that happens)
shpongle - Linguistic Mystic
shpongle - falling awake
walter ego - purple pygmies
hallucinogen - thugs in tye-dye (now watch out for those--- they can be mean)
hallucinogen - demention
fly agaric - i see myself (looking at myself...?)
rogue element - rainbow runner (now that's poetic)
saafi brothers - liquid beach (could have been a dali painting)
psychonaut - spirit walker
the orb - A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules From The
centre of the ultraworld ( or something)
auricular - Luftfrikadelle (now this .... is EXTREMELY nasty!)
the delta - skizoeffective
huja boy - shaba rain (shaba means "ghost" in arabic)
huja boy - flying sorcerer
total eclipse - freefalling upwards
-
try "go to sleep" by healer and Doof's "grandchester meadows remembered". But be warned... they'll make you doze off and merge you out of time and out of mind beyond reality.
I also recommend that you tune into "cryosleep" ambient radio channel on your winamp (add media)
This morning, a grey-blue fog was over my city and i sat down by the water and stared into emptiness while listening to "under the overtones" by TIP, and i gotta tell you.... i felt like a painting or a poem inside. it was just such and incredible sense of serenity and peace.
-
I definitely like the songs on "are you shpongled?" the most when it comes to ambient.
But apart from shpongle i wanna mention that "Wonderground" by Healer from 2000 is an ambient cd that has a special place in my heart.
I also like twisted record's "Eclipse compilation" from 1998
But my all-time favorite single ambient track has always been, and probably always will be "2046" by Saafi Brothers

Ott - Scilly automatic
Ott - Escape from tulse hell
The infinity project - The answer
Shpongle - And the day turned to night
Shpongle - Around the world in a tea daze
Shpongle - The seventh revelation
Nomads of dub - spirals
Saafi Brothers - 2046
Oforia - Delirious
Oforia - Uplifter

1200 mics - mescaline
Hallucinogen - Magik
Hallucinogen - Trancespotter
Hallucinogen - Jiggle of the sphinx
Hallucinogen - Deranger
The bee gees - You win again
-
I gotta go with "Snakes and ladders" by Prometheus. When the beat slows down increasingly followed by the eerie voice and an all-out psytrance explosion is my no. 1 climax!
Also... The climax on Shpongle's "sixth revelation" with the wildly distorted vocals and those bubbling noises makes my adrenaline FLASHBOIL

"Solar" by pigs in space
-
Simon Posford would be my obvious choice, but really lets try something new on
for size, shall we?
My all time favorite psy-artist is Ofer Dikovsky. Sadly, only his best tracks from the late-nineties. The new oforia tracks just doesnt do anything for me)
IMO, Ofer is the master. Why?
-He is a master producer in the same way as simon posford
-He has his own unique sounds.
-He doesnt rip off samples (at least to my knowledge)
-He doesnt fill his tracks with crappy matrix-samples or some other cheesy cliche.
-I enjoyed EVERY track on the "pigs in space" album. For me, thats never happened be4
-I just can get enough of his metallic "deep space trance-sound"
-"Solar" can make me dance till i drop
Some other big favorite artists are Benji's masterful "snakes & Ladders" as well as "The River" by the Nommos.
-
Beija flor is great in its own unique sense, but it just isn't as catchy like, say, tea daze and frisbee .
Tales of the inexpressible was great but personally i believe that "Are you shpongled" will forever be the paragon of Shpongle.
My hope is that the third album will be a mix of both .... or perhaps something we've never seen before but will be even better than the two previous albums. I'm excited beyond words. I've got shpongleeyes already ....
suddenly i awoke. I had a beautifully lucid dream of freefalling upwards. Blue skies changed and became a glittering dark void. I glided through blue stars and purple suns full of spirals and vivid colors in my spaceship of imagination. I was happy and I knew that I can have anything i want in the whole universe. Then I saw the burning crimson effigy of the morning sun and it was all over as I fell awake.-But I dont remember falling asleep...
shpongle & samples.

Actually, Simon was NOT member of The Infinity Project, he just co-wrote/produced/"co-starred" on some of the tracks on their CD's.
On Mystical Experiences, he co-wrote tracks 1, 2, 3 and 9
On Feelin' Weird, he co-wrote tracks 1,4, 6, 7, 10.
Contrary to what many people think, The infinity project merely consisted of Raja Ram and Graham Wood, even though many of their tracks were co-written by major players like Simon, Doof, Sheldon Isaacs and many more.
God, I miss the infinity boys. May they reunite some day and bring more of their beautiful ambient music back into the scene. Their music was among some of the greatest I've ever heard
