I have become a huge fan of Para Halu's latest stuff ..check out
Very interesting album with lotsa variety...my fav is methedrine wave. Para Halu stands out from the rest of the darkpsy crowd with some intelligent music IMHO.
Also i found
Tutankhamon 9000 - Lost In Luxor very interesting

always thought belgium , sweden, germany and israel had a great scene..especially considering the number of hippies who have made arambol. goa their hometown..and not to forget the crazy japanese hippies..they are fun to be with..
btw arambol doesnt have big psytrance parties , but during the season time you can find some day parties by the arambol lake ...but arambol is a great hippie village..i like that place

i was too lucky to miss the pune gig but feel sorry for my friends who got arrested..that was a fuck all scene with the media making the most of it...
i remember the cops claiming that they seized 3 litres of LSD from the scene
cant stop laughing at their ignorance ..

I always thought sweden had a excellent scene since most of my fav acts like CBL, vibrasphere, ticon are from sweden..didnt know they had a seperate commision to bust the parties...
last month i was at a local psytrance gig in a club and suddenly the cops came in and started searching everyone ..fuck they came with huge van and all to get us arrested ..luckily they couldnt find any substance so they let us all go..
on the other hand there are these plush lounge bars and disc in mumbai where the bollywood junkies snort cocaine and drive around the city like mad pigs and the cops are very happy to let them off ..
it is always easy to arrest to bunch of hippies and get ur ass on tv rather than tracking the terrorists...sigh .
i dont know how the season this yr is gonna be in goa after last scarlett's murder and stuff like that..
anyway hoping for the best to happen.

I live in Mumbai , India and here every party gets busted these days..we have really nice cops and journalists who make psytrance listeners sound anti-social and worse than terrorists.
but still, come november,the party scene goa starts with some commercial full on and shit 180 bpm darkpsy parties..
apparently skazi was touring india last week and charged rs.2000 for entry..
thats it..

Good review...i have to agree on the "personal beach" track..the track is so horrible ..i expected more from puzzle from mekkanika
the only track that stands out is kali's track..definitely lifts the compilation up...but all in all its an average compilation from materia

Excellent dark psy album IMHO...not the regular scratches or russian hardcore sound..this one is groovy and crazy...Astroschnautzer's debut was one of my fav album last yr..he has impressed again with this one this year..best groovy dark sounds...but the title and cover art are bit wacky .

ITP - Lose your illusion was the pick of the year...not the regular fullon...the album is a great debut IMO..Guatemala, Knul Hfaf Bash, Advertisment tracks stand out ... Raz's album isnt that bad either.

.Now they're back with a great album a quantum leap from Golden Cap and I think it deserves mention.
